This city version (shorter game time than the full country/region map editions) is quite enjoyable. We have been Ticket to Ride fans for many years and have all of the different maps. San Francisco has better balance than the New York City map and thus more flexible play. The little trolley cars are very cute. Our children enjoy playing this version too using some of the modified rules from the junior game (e.g., don't keep score with the markers, get two destination tickets and a new one automatically when finish a destination ticket, count up number of finished destination tickets at the end instead of adding point values). San Francisco is like a small version or TtR Germany or TtR Marklin. I'm a big fan of Ticket to Ride, and this one is another good entry. If you're looking for a small Ticket to Ride, I would choose this above Amsterdam, and about the same as New York and London.

This expansion is a great quick play with a fun little tourist collection mechanic to give alternate ways to eek out a few more points on this smaller board. Seems to be best at (2) two players at least for our play group, 4 is fun but can become crowded fast!

I enjoyed playing the game Ticket to Ride and the San Francisco version is just as much fun. It is a shorter game, which works well for me because I’m not always in the mood for a long game. I like the San Francisco neighborhoods on the board and the cable car game pieces.
As a fan of Ticket To Ride, this is my third version (I own the Original and Europe already). It includes all the normal facets of ticket to ride except the longest train rule, and adds a new fun element of token collection. It is much quicker than your typical game with the compressed board and fewer trains (or street cars in this case). The destination cards can be a little tough to read, that’s my only critique.
One of the series of Ticket To Ride games. Fun game. High production values - the little cable cars are SO CUTE! I bought this game because I really love San Francisco, and it was fun to play a game with the names of places and neighborhoods that I am familiar with. Brings back fond memories of one of America's unique and beautiful cities.
We always play TTR with 3 or 2 in my house, so these micro boards provided a great experience for us. I like the set collection mechanic a little better than the neighborhood occupation mechanic in London. New York is so fast and mean that it almost doesn't bear comparing to San Fransisco.
There are quite a few versions of Ticket to Ride and being from SF this was a cool gem to find! Love how my hometown is brought to life in this charming game.
Very good game if looking for a quick 15 minute game. Very good for younger players whose concentration might not last for a full TTR game. I liked the bonus for collecting tokens at different sites.
This is a fun 2-4 player game. It is Ticket to Ride that can be played on a smaller table and in less time than its "larger parents". I bought it to play with my wife, who is challenged for free time. Easily one of her favorites.
