I bought this because I knew Japanese rice cookers were top class and I'm not disappointed. The quality is so much better than any western brand rice cooker will ever give you and the ease of functionality and convenience of all the functions just can't be beaten in my opinion

Instructions are ambiguous. It doesn't say rice before water! Wet gluggy rice on first attempt. Now working well. Disappointed there is no time countdown on rice cooking function until cooking has finished and rice is resting, but there is time countdown during slow cooking mode.

I bought this because I knew Japanese rice cookers were top class and I'm not disappointed. The quality is so much better than any western brand rice cooker will ever give you and the ease of functionality and convenience of all the functions just can't be beaten in my opinion

This was given to me as a birthday gift and I couldn’t be more happier! If you’re constantly on the go and stretched for time, the convenience of the timer function will be a saviour for you! Anyone who comments negatively probably didn’t read the instructions properly.....
This makes excellent rice, can't fault this product in any way except the fact that the internal clock's battery is not user replacable (it's soldered to the circuit board). But that is expected to go flat in ~5 years, and won't affect the ability to cook rice.
Great product overall. Rice fluffs up quite nicely when cooked with the normal setting and its fairly easy to maintain. The controls are easy to use and the manual is readable.
The koshihikari that this makes is just like what I’ve had in Japan. You can wake up to a perfectly cooked batch of rice, and keep it warm for a while without drying it out.
Cooks perfect rice but I haven't tried the other settings to comment on. My favourite feature is the delayed timer so I can set and forget then get it cooked at the exact time without the wait. It comes with a cookbook of mostly Japanese recipes which is a nice addition. Also comes with a warranty card to register so there is a refund if the product is faulty. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, just wish it was a bit cheaper.
I brought a tiger rice cooker, model JAX-S10A. It is very slow. It takes more than an hour to cook rice. The menu is complicated. Not only does it waste my money not my precious time.
If you cook Japanese rice, it is better than normal Tefal or cheap cooker. Keeping rice a few days will dry up the rice hard so suggesting to switch off when you cook rice and reheating when you need,
