Tiki Cat Variety Pack After Dark Pate Plus Cat Food Can 80g-12PK

I got 3 different types of tiki cat and my cats are happy with them all. This flavor pack is probably their least favorite but they still enjoy and eat it. The only way I can tell a preference difference is that they leave a little of these flavors behind at dinner time vs others being completely gobbled up. But again, they still seem to like it. I am very impressed with the ingredients and quality of this brand of food and will continue with Tiki Cat, I will just rotate this pack through less frequently than others we’ve tried so far.

Definitely ideal for cats, but...

Great ingredients, ideal for cats, but unfortunately mine didn't like it! :( they would have a few licks and then nothing. They've tried it a few more times to see if anything would change but it remained the same. I'll be changing their food to something else. It sucks because I really like this brand.

Great For Recovery From Stomach Issues

I bought this for my cats after one had been ill for a week and not eating. The vet suggested offering a higher-quality diet to help his stomach recover from whatever illness was causing him nausea. She recommended Tiki Cat brand. I don't give my cats fish, and they'll eat nothing but pate, so I was lucky to find this variety pack in the PetCo near me -- only one was available. My cats, including the boy who had been ill, ate it right up. Even my pickiest girl enjoyed the Chicken & Quail Egg variety -- I did have to mash up the egg for her though. I give the product 5 stars, but I wish it were more readily available in-store and online. I have trouble finding this particular variety pack in both places.

I’ve got a senior cat who suddenly started getting diarrhea from his Fancy Feast. His senior panel bloodwork came out fine, so I started to change his diet around.First I was feeding him a can of the shredded Tiki After Dark, but with a few missing teeth (pulled), he was struggling to eat it with complete ease. It wasn’t like he couldn’t finish it, but he enjoyed the food & I thought pate would be easier.He loves it! I feed him Tiki After Dark (variety of flavors) and Tiki Cat Aloha Friends (variety with pumpkin) at night. (Small amount of Taste of the Wild Dry.) We're working on it. I'm impressed with the quality. At first she said no but given no choice we may be making headway. She's a pate girl and the + adds little solids. Also, it's white which seems an odd observation but she reacted when she saw it and her approach was almost comical. Her health is my concern so we'll keep trying since she seems to be improving.

Nothing Special

I decided to give this a try after tiki cat confirmed their original after dark pate from New Zealand was discontinued due to supply issues and that they replaced it with this which was supposed to be just as good. With high hopes that this line would be similar to the original, that was far from the truth. This is just blended up regular after dark cans with chunks of organs… nothing really special as the ingredients are all the same as the original after dark. I really hope tiki cat looks for new suppliers for the after dark pate from New Zealand. It was the best, actually smelled like real food and had a firmer texture. I still buy this occasionally to change up the texture for my kiddos but I find no difference with this line and it’s slightly more pricey

Nothing like the discontinued After Dark pates

The original Tiki Cat After Dark shreds in broth was the first and only wet food line (Tiki Cat or otherwise) my picky cat would eat, although he mainly lapped up the broth. When the After Dark Pate line came out, I gave it a try, hoping he would actually eat more of the food itself--and he LOVED it. Unfortunately, Tiki Cat has discontinued the original pates because of supplier issues, and "replaced" it with this product: After Dark Pate+. I bought this variety pack, hoping it would be just as appealing for my boy, but he wouldn't touch any of them. It seems to be a blend of the After Dark shreds and regular Tiki Cat pates, which are much paler in color and "baby food-like" in texture, whereas the old After Dark pates were darker and more coarse in texture. One if our cats had a hernia, which caused reflux & chronic vomiting. Pea protein will aggravate this, so in researching canned cat food, Tiki was one of the few brands that doesn't add that other unnecessary junk to their food, so we ordered the shredded variety pack. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised to open the can & find actual chicken & diced organ meat vs. some gross smelling mush in the can. Our cats absolutely loved it, so we added it to our autoship. They are both now senior kitties & prefer the pate & Tiki makes all the same flavors in that too, so win win! Ralph loves every flavor

I bought this as an experiment, wanting to change Ralph's diet from Friskies wet. Friskies is OK, ralph enjoys it but only the pate. He refuses to eat shreds or any other variety. From the first can of Tiki Cat, Ralph has eaten every bite of every flavor! I bought an extensive selection - Aloha Friends, After Dark, Grill Variety, and Pate Plus. He eats every bite of every flavor I've given him.I'm so glad that I didn't need to spend $$ testing other premium, healthy brands.I hope everyone who tries Tiki Cat has the same good luck.

Won't be purchasing again

Great quality ingredients, however my cat who usually cleans his plate with other tiki cat varieties was very picky about the flavors in the after dark series. He would eat if he was hungry enough, but definitely didn't eat with much excitement. I don't think he particularly like the liver, gizzards and heart morsels. He does go for the other tiki cat varieties though, just won't purchase the after dark+ again.
