Tilda Steamed Coconut Chilli & Lemongrass Rice 250g

It's a shame asda never have as many Tilda rice options anymore. Lots of Ben's but Tilda is nicer. Less stodgy. Love the lime & coriander and the lemon & herbs they used to stock. This one's ok.

I have been using this product for many years now. I love it. It fits me and my family so well. This product is perfect to keep for yourself and for others. This product definitely met my expectations. I would buy this product again ten times over. If possible, i would love to be table to recieve more the products in order to provide more reviews.

I love coconut and basmati rice and I have made homemade coconut rice and it is delicious, somehow Tilda managed to mess up this incredible duo with their TILDA COCONUT BASMATI RICE. It was awful. You squeeze the bag, open the top, microwave for 2 mins and "enjoy". The rice is almost soggy and doesn't hold it's form well. The taste is like sour coconut milk. It doesn't taste like they used any real ingredients. It is also approximately $3 per bag. I would never purchase this again and would not recommend this to anyone.

Super quick to use, easy to store, has great flavours of coconut and cream texture in mouth. One thing i was a little sad is the rice does stay stuck together and hold the shape of the packaging. So in some areas it doesn’t have nice detached grains of rice. Other then that i would buy again just cause it taste great and so easy to use.

This rice is pre-steamed and can be heated in the microwave in just 2 minutes, or stir fried in a pan with a little oil in 4 minutes. I love that is not only quick and delicious, but it is also gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and vegans and free from any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Ingredients are steamed basmati rice, coconut cream, dried coconut, sunflower oil, salt, lime leaf and 210 cal for half of a package or 125g and has 5g of protein. It comes in handy for soups with rice and it goes fabulous with curry. I got it as a sample from #Sampler

I could not find the correct tag for this product but this brand of rice is great. Tilda has many different flavors. I was given the opportunity by @sampler to try this rice. The pilau basmati rice is delicious. It tastes very authentic. Thank you to #sampler for this!

Absolutely delicious and so coco...nutty !

This is a great standby to have in the cupboard with such a great flavour and so much coconut. Usually will have as a 'side' Really delicious and has become a firm favourite especially if served with tempura prawns, lemon chicken or other Chinese mains.I do not cook in the microwave just in a saucepan with a little water and it turns out perfect.It really is good thanks Tilda and Ocado.

Quality

My wife is something of an expert on rice having eaten daily when growing up and her first comment was 'quality rice' and I agree with her. This is a well prepared and convenient product heated in the microwave. Will look for the Tilda brand again.

I really liked this microwave rice. You can clearly taste the coconut and lemongrass backed up with a little bite of chilli, not too hot, just a nice background hum. I will definitely buy this again.

You can't buy better Basmati than this.

I've been buying Basmati Rice in British shops for 38 years. Once it became available in Supermarkets I had a chance to try various brands and a few well known popular supermarkets started selling their own branded Basmati rice and it wasn't all top quality. After a while I would specifically look for Tilda as it seemed to be much easier to cook and superb flavour. My guess is the rice comes from the best areas at the foot of the Himalayas. I say all this to show I know what I'm talking about with Indian rice. You do have to separate the joined lumps before cooking - best done by tipping the bag contents into a basin and either gently separating with a fork or use clean fingers! Then microwave it in the basin for the specified time. It can also work well when put in a pilau or biriani with other ingredients and slow baked in the oven - or it can work equally well as fried rice if it's stir-fried with other ingredients for a couple of minutes. Many flavours are now on sale mushroom, chilli beans, egg etc. So I give this the thumbs up and wholly recommend it. When my supermarket ran out of it I came onto ebay and bought a batch here. So there we have it. Tilda 5 stars - good stuff - great with all types of Asian style meals.
