The collection of Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink stamp pads from Ranger contains colour-fast dye inks that can be used to create realistic vintage effects on paper, photographs, wood and canvas. Dye inks are well known as transparent, water-based inks. Just like their larger counterparts, the Distress Minis have a raised felt pad full of ink that reacts with water. Once you add water the ink continues to react, for hours or even days. Distress Mini Inks are available individually or in a set. Thanks to its properties, the colour-fast stamping ink is well suited for use in a wide range of applications, such as stamping, distressing, blending, stencilling and watercolours. Distress products are ideal for mixed media projects where several types of materials and techniques are combined. The spectrum of products in the Tim Holtz Distress series all have unique properties and are available in the same colours, making them ideal for combining. The stamp pad can be filled with the matching re-inker. These are available separately and come in all Distress colours.

Awesome die based ink

The distress inks are awesome for ink blending! I love the ink cubes because they're small, so i can build up my collection quickly without spending too much money. And the packs of 4 dont duplicate colors, so you'll always get 4 new colors. I love them. Plus they blending so beautifully for card backgrounds. I think theyre a must have for cardmaking!

I do love the Distress Oxide ink pads. I am running out of room for the regular size pads and decided it was time to start buying the mini ink pads. They are so cute and take up little space. I can also get more colors for my projects at a lesser price.

The ink is great. Even the lightest color makes an impact, and they all coat the stamps well. I've used them with both rubber and acrylic stamps. However-- they are VERY hard to open, especially at first. I often end up with ink on my fingers from prying them open. They're small, and there's nothing to get a grip on. Rubber bands help, but it's still really difficult.

Great size and colors
22 January 2022

I love the colors of these distress ink cubes! They can be used for so many different projects and combined in different ways to make other colors. I like to use them with rubber and clear stamps to make cards and gift tags. I also stamp the ink onto a piece of glass, add a few drops of water and pick the colors up with a brush to watercolor paper projects. These are good quality inks that blend well. The size is just right for small projects and handy when I want to take my supplies on the road with me.

Highest quality, can’t go wrong.

These minis make it more affordable than buying the full size. I would probably never tried many of the colors if they came only in full size. Love how these blend and how the react to water. I’d buy I have over 30 of these minis, nd still there are colors I want to try. Highly recommend all of Tim Holtz products.

I'm a Tim Holtz product addict :)
13 May 2020

I adore practically ALL of Tim Holtz products and the distress inks are no exception. I have all of the distress oxide inks and I'm now building up my collection of the distress inks and these packs of 4 mini inks are the perfect, economical way of doing it. The inks are vibrant, and you can get such different effects by adding water. I use mine for backgrounds on my handmade cards and they are perfect for mixed media projects too. They are amazing quality and they last for aaaages. You can get re-inkers too for your favourite colours, so once you purchase the ink pad you only need to top it up with a reinker which is amazingly economical. You can use the reinkers for projects on their own too! If you're unsure I'd recommend you give them a try. You'll love them.

Nice
25 November 2023

I bought these as a trial before I bought any of the more expensive bigger ones. I had coupons so got them for an unbelievable price! They work well, but it seems there is not as much ink in them (or maybe I am just used to a more juicier ink pad.) That is the only reason I am giving 4 out of 5. I did buy a bigger one in a color that I really likes for my style of crafting. It has lots of ink in it.

Nice New Color Set
13 January 2022

I like the mini ink pad sets. It's an affordable way to test a lot of different colors. I've had good results with the Ranger family of ink pads. They're long-lasting, and the colors match the labels really well. Be aware that the distressed effect does change how the ink appears, so if you want full, even coverage, you shouldn't purchase these.

WOO HOO stamp and ink pads
29 April 2023

Love these small ink pads. I have Thank you cards to send to my donors for my second Lavaman triathlon with Team in Training, which benefits the Leykemia and Lymphoma society. As I am doing my race and passing people along the way, all i can say is WOO HOO! I found a little rubber stamp of an owl, that says WOO HOO. I used both the blue and the green ink for the stamp and owl stamped my Thank you cards, as well as the envelopes. An added personal touch.

lid colors are accurate
16 August 2021

These little ink pads are the 1st distressed ink I have used. The lids fit tightly and will keep the ink fresh. Color on the lids is accurate. Antique linen is a darker version of my pale coffee stained paper, and coordinates with manila file folders and similar paper. Vintage photo is close to Burnt Umber, Walnut stain is close to VanDyke Brown, depending on which website I'm looking at. Black soot shades to dark grey. These will be useful as I learn how to use them in my creativity.
