Got a pair of these ~6 years ago as a gift. Have stupidly bought 3 pairs of the big boat shoe brands since then, only to have them leak water and lose their form within a year of purchase. Thought they would hold up like these, I was wrong.Finally buying my second pair of these, but don't even really need to replace the first pair. They fit my size 12 foot as expected. If you're not in it for the brand name, this is the quality choice.

A classic style well made by my favourite brand. I bought them to replace the identical pair that I worn for more than 20 years. Not disappointed. Nice, comfortable fit. Good leather uppers and non-slip, non-marking sole for my boating trips in Greece again this summer.

I purchased mine from a Timberland shop and the shoes in the box were much lighter than those on display (which were darker). The salesperson at the shop explained that with age and use the leather darkens and matures, hence why the shoes on display were darker. The shop kindly applied wax to the shoes which darkened them. Either way they are a great pair of shoes and of a great quality....

I've bought this exact shoe for many years. The quality is still, for the most part, very good. After a few wearings the foot beds on both shoes curled up and needed to be removed and re-glued with some real glue. They did a lousy job at the factory with that. The leather is still top quality. Again, I've bought this exact shoe 12W Timberland shoe for years and I never remember them being that snug right out of the box, so something seems to have changed in the sizing. The wide actually feels more like a medium to me.
The shoes look great and fit nicely enough. But the problem with them is the liner for the sole only goes half way up the shoe. So every time you take your foot out it's pulled up a little on the end. Not a good design at all. Make the liner the full length of your foot like every other shoe I own and that is pretty much out there. Bad design on shoe liner. The look barely out weighs the poorly designed liner.
Within 2 days of wearing these shoes, the half inner-sole began detaching and curled badly making them quite uncomfortable to wear. I have yet to attempt to re-glue the in-sole being not sure what adhesive would give a permanent fix. Am contemplating returning them for a refund.
The first pair had some odd additional stitch holes in the top. John Lewis replaced them very speedily and with absolutely no fuss. The second replacement pair fit well and look nice but I was a little surprised to discover that these shoes now only have a half length inner sole, so there isn't any lining on the bottom in the part of the shoe that you can't see and the remaining lining is already starting to lift away as I put the shoes on and take them off. Presumably that saves Timberland a little money but it does detract from the usefulness of what is meant to be a premium product. I've bought Timberland boat shoes in the past and they have worn very well. I doubt if these will.
My first pair of these lasted around 15 years my second around 7. The sole on the newer pair has gone through, I bought like for like replacement as my first pair had just had it but the sole was still good. The quality has gone down price has gone up. I will still buy more as there a Conf table shoe but I will look at other manufacturers before I decide on Timberlands again. Such a shame.
They’re a great shoe but just don’t fit. We bought a 9 which was too small. Returned for the 10 but out of stock for some time so got the 11 which was too big.Finally was able to get a10 and it fitted but not well. Kept slipping off. Need 1/2 sizes. Will have to return the 10 and go to another brand unfortunately.
I ordered 11.5 shoes online. They were delivered, but much too narrow. I went to Timberland in London and the 11.5 shoes were OK. Apparently the narrow version is made is Bangladesh. Surely Timberland you should have standardized your shoes from all of your source factories.The person on the till in London, gave me a £11 discount for my troubles, which I appreciated. However it should have not been necessary to actually visit the flagship shop to get the correct size.
