Timberland is known for the quality of the materials & craftsmanship used in their footwear & these Earthkeepers are no exception. I purchased a 2nd pair when I began wearing my 1st pair a 5th year for I knew they were worth the price and with mink oil paste applied 2x a year the leather still had another couple of years left in it. Comfortable, 6" boots with a timeless design. Now on clearance for the wide width I will go down a size and order them as I will begin to wear my 2nd pair next spring and have the new ones to start wearing in 2029. The boot is pretty well constructed, high quality leather. The lace loop on the tongue of both boots ripped within the 6 hours. The stitching failed when tightening the boot. The boots are snug in the ankle and heel, but very loose in the toe bed. I ordered the correct size and they "fit" fine, but my feet swim because of the width of the toe area. heavy socks may help.

I have purchased these boots 4 times so far; they are my favorite. I have one in every color and only have to replace them every 3-4 years after heavy use. They run big, so make sure you order a size smaller than your sneaker size.

They aren't kidding when they say Timberlands run a size large. The boot seems durable and they're definitely stylish. The leather scratches very easily so I would not try to work or hike in these. Its also some pretty thin leather, especially the tongue. They look like a good year welt but are not - the stitches are for show only.In all, I like them.
