Bought the first one just as a conservative outdoor work watch. It kept changing time on me. I was late a couple times and then realized it must have stopped by itself for awhile or maybe the pin got pulled out somehow for a bit. It happened enough that I sent it back. They sent another and the same thing happened. I finally put it in my truck (no clock) thinking if it stops working there I'll see that the time is significantly off. Sure enough, it stops on its own and then runs again. Sometimes its minutes off, sometimes hours.Get a different watch.

Easy to read, a simple, functional watch. Great for in the yard, and in the woods when an extra hand to grab a phone isn't always available. This old school approach is still rock solid. Love it.

Bought this watch as a simple Everyday watch. I used to own a few Ironman models that were always solid watches and figured Timex is a good inexpensive watch option. I set the time against my atomic watch and it holds time within a second for over a week or better. After three weeks it has only been a second off if that. The crown is a bit tricky to find the position for the date but works fine. I was going to change out the strap but decided to keep it on as it is comfortable and looks good. Considering buying another in a different color and would highly recommend this model.

I heard some people say the watch ticked loudly. I was out for a drive and got overtaken by a gang of hells angels on their harleys and they complained about the noise from my watch. :) Seriously I f you can hear this watch from the other side of your room you should join the xmen or justice league. I have to press it against my ear and concentrate to hear it. Great watch, wish it was solar.
Cell phones were recently banned from the building where I work. I've been telling time that way for about 10 years so suddenly I needed a watch! I don't like faces that are wide or bodies that are thick. I don't like fancy bands. I don't need extra dials. Just the facts. This little watch does all that perfectly for a really good price. I can't say I know what the $300 watch can do that this one can't. Why spend that money when you can just buy a Timex? Take a licking and keeps on ticking - as they used to say.
My Scout 43 keeps (maybe "kept") excellent time. Never needed to correct any time error except when adjusting for yearly time change. A highly accurate chronometer. However, last week the Indiglo stopped working. Replaced the battery (CR-2016) thinking that might be the problem. Indiglo still doesn't work.I've had this watch since February 2019- never used it in water and have taken very good care of it. Never dropped it.Very disappointed.
I have the model TW4B065009J. The 43mm case is a nice size - masculine without being over the top. The leather strap is fairly for this price range, although the watch also looks good with an HD NATO strap. I've noticed that the case and buckle develop a little patina after some use, but that is ok. The dial is very legible, the lume on the hands is decent, and of course the Indiglo is awesome. Mine also seems slightly more accurate than my Weekender. I haven't put this watch through the ringer, but after ~6 months I would say it's a great everyday field watch for the price.
When I first got the watch I really liked the look of it. However after having the watch for 6 months I'm very disappointed. The band started falling apart within 2 months, the watch face crack extremely easily and it's no longer water proof, the indaglow only works for the bottom quarter of the watch and every few days I have to adjust the time because it doesn't even keep perfect time anymore. I wasn't expecting anything super fancy from a $70 watch, but expected it to last more than 6 months. love the look of the watch but very poor quality, won't buy a timex again.
Had it a month now. Keeps time properly. The night light is the best thing. No blaring clock on the nightstand and no grasping around for a phone to check time. The band is a little stiff but not a deal breaker. Great price b
You will treasure it’s functions until it breaks. Then you say, hmmmm. Three weeks isn’t a long time, this time. Before with second Exp., one year, first one lasted two plus years. Three in four to five year window seems excessive, yet the price is good. I’m middle rugged. Adjust watch pin is too bulky, gets caught. Slim and smooth it down might help.
