I have always built LEGO products, and hesitate to purchase "building block" construction sets from other vendors because of the lack of quality. I took a chance and purchased the COBI Titanic Kit because I am a huge Titanic fan, and the price was excellent. I was so impressed by the quality of the building bricks, the bag separation of the pieces, the quality of the instructions, and absolutely everything that has to do with this kit. The completed set is amazing! I will never hesitate to purchase another COBI set because of the exceptional quality, expert instructions, and organizing of the pieces. COBI needs to teach LEGO a thing or two. Don't hesitate to purchase a COBI product. Very pleased with the product before, during and especially the finished product.

My 19-month-old granddaughter built the model in a few sessions after her nap. The project resulted in a very large, convincing standoff representation of the famous ocean liner. The instructions were accurate, the parts well-made and they tightly held together, and none of the parts to this well designed and engineered kit were missing. It was more than an entertaining exercise; it was a learning experience. When a problem occurred, she learned to look inward before crying and starting the blame game. The manufacturer did an excellent job, and the errors were not the manufacturers. The ship is proudly displayed on the mantle next to her bowling trophies.

Let me start off by saying I had little expectations for this being that it is “off brand” Legos. I’ve heard the horror stories and seen the horrible bootleg kits. I got this kit as a Christmas gift from a family member who knows I’m a passionate lego builder/collector. And let me tell you about this kit. I was astonished. The level of detail. The quality of the bricks. The challenge of the build. It was all right up there on par with real Legos. There were a few small things that I could tell made it “less” than lego but over all I was extremely happy with the results. After posting some pictures on Facebook many of my friends were amazed at the quality as well. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to add a super detailed addition to their collection.

Confusing build all along because the instructions are terribly unclear. But, it you make it towards the final big pieces to put together, it falls apart. They make you turn it outside down to take pieces out to fit the bottom red base and thats when it becomes so frustrating to complete, you just cannot connect anything well. I gave up. Terrible waste of time. From now on back to Lego.
What an absolutely beautiful model - a total pleasure to build over the last few days. I cannot believe the quality and look of it - especially considering the value for money compared with what it would have cost from "you know who" :) I have already purchased the USS Missouri and look forward to hearing about the release date for HMS Belfast.Just a couple of tips - be very very careful with the hull and selecting the shaped pieces - I know I have made a couple of mistakes but I do not think anyone would notice. Also the last bag is a bit tricky - especially the rigging as the string they provide is quite waxy and just the right lengths, so tying them to the funnels/masts and deck pad eyes is quite difficult and "fiddly". If I were to build another ship with rigging I would actually buy some very heavy duty modelling thread and make up my own of sufficient lengths to make knot tying a lot easier - I would recommend doing this - especially for people like me with large hands !I concur with Warren re Customer service - second to none making the whole buying experience feel quite personal. Thanks Zoe.
Great build. No missing pieces. I've built about a half dozen Cobi models, but this was the biggest most complicated build so far. I loved every minute of it. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and bought the deluxe model. This piece look great on my mantle.
My girlfriend assembled this set over a span of 5 days. The set was 100% complete with just a few extra pieces overall. Kudos to Cobi for providing a complete set :)The quality of the pieces is similar to LEGO. The pieces hold firmly and have a fairly precise fitment. The colors are vivid and bright. The printed pieces were a bonus vs having the need for decals. We would highly recommend this set for any Titanic or Lego fan.The finished ship is centered on our fireplace mantle. It looks amazing!Thank you
I've been a Titanic fan since I was about six years old, and built several Titanic models out of my Lego collection. This latest installment in my Titanic series of models is a magnum opus in my eyes. The parts are made at a quality level equal to, perhaps better than, the Legos I started with; the instructions are clear and easy to understand; and while the string rigging was a challenge to thread, it dramatically improved the look of the model. I also enjoy the attention to detail with the American flag bearing 46 stars, that was a neat little addition. However, a couple of gripes I will mention are: the ship, historically, had a 4-blade centre propeller as opposed to the 3-blade included in the set; and because the set came with 18 lifeboats, my USS Enterprise ... MoreI've been a Titanic fan since I was about six years old, and built several Titanic models out of my Lego collection. Overall, this set has earned my seal of approval as an accurate Titanic model.
The Cobi Titanic is an impressive model which was a pleasure to put together. Cobi have made the construction challenge a little easier by organising the parts into 12 separate sealed bags. So it is possible to pace yourself when building the model by carrying out the construction one bag at a time. There are three instruction booklets for the 12 bags. The instructions are easy to follow and accurately colour coded to match the pieces. Because of the concentration required, I did 12 separate sessions of around two hours each, allowing time to check and check again that I'd got the positioning right for the pieces as I put them together. The hardest part was installing the rigging which I still haven't got entirely right, but nonetheless the finished model looks ... MoreThe Cobi Titanic is an impressive model which was a pleasure to put together. This was my first Cobi kit and I was somewhat apprehensive when I placed the order as I didn't know what to expect. I need not have worried. This kit is real class! I have enjoyed Lego for a few years now and have always wanted a 'Titanic'. Lego have a huge 9000+ piece kit but the ship would be far too large to display in our home. So when I saw this Cobi 2800 piece kit it fitted the bill perfectly. The kit comes in twelve numbered bags but when you open each bag you will find up to ten smaller bags inside. Whilst some may think this is excessive it certainly makes finding parts much easier. I have a dozen small food containers which I use to keep the parts separate. There are a few differences between Cobi and Lego and in my opinion they are all positiveMANUALS:- ... MoreThis was my first Cobi kit and I was somewhat apprehensive when I placed the order as I didn't know what to expect. Whilst some may think this is excessive it certainly makes finding parts much easier. I have a dozen small food containers which I use to keep the parts separate. There are a few differences between Cobi and Lego and in my opinion they are all positiveMANUALS:- There are three instruction manuals, each covering four bags of the build. It was nice to have thinner instruction books as Lego tend to have one big fat one which can be a little cumbersome at times.INSTRUCTIONS:- The building steps are numbered and the pieces required for each step are shown in colour. However, the overall build picture is shown in light grey except for where the selected pieces must go which is shown in colour. Sometimes with Lego if you have a large full colour build picture it is not always immediately obvious where pieces must be placed.PIECES:- It is best to make really sure you know where a piece should go before placing it in position because the pieces are a VERY tight fit. Several times I had great difficulty in taking bricks apart when I found I had made a mistake. The plus side of this is that at the end you have a VERY solid model which will not easily fall to pieces.STICKERS:- Probably the biggest pet hate for Lego users is 'stickers'. Sometimes they are tricky to line up properly and can be very frustrating. Cobi do not use stickers! They print on to the bricks which is far better and far neater.Sadly, I had one missing piece from bag 12. It was very easy to visit the Cobi website and order the missing piece which will be supplied free of charge. So, all in all, a very enjoyable building experience.
