Titebond is go to pick choice when it comes to my carpeting needs and all kinds of do it yourself home depot and Lowes project back home. This 16 oz version made a huge difference in my opinion that it is right color for pine and cedar woods. So welcome that it does not take too long or too much prolonged pressure to keep intact and that speaks for the quality job it does when you use it in right squeezes and portions and patterns. Dried nice and plan on my wood projects I have crafted. As with most good glues it is stronger than the wood. I recommend not to store these types of stuff in garage or open areas or where it becomes too hot or too cold to give longer shelf life and help out eventually on one’s projects . Highly recommend

Excellent Glue

I've used Titebond II and III, for years, and it's an excellent product. The glues wood joint is actually stronger than the grain of the wood. Just be mindful of the working time that you have, which is approximately five minutes for the Titebond II. Everything necessary for your glue-up should be staged and planned in advance. Some of my projects can require more time, so I either glue-up in several stages, or use the Titebond III, which gives you approximately 10 minutes of working time, however, isn't quite as strong as the II.

Great for everyday use --

As a 40+ year cabinetmaker, I haven't found any other glue that compares to this product. Work time is adequate and it sets very fast after clamping. Holding power is great and it has never dried out with any of my projects, even after several years have lapsed. It's very water-resistant, including on outdoor projects like bird houses or feeders. However, it cannot be used for projects that will be submerged in water. Clean up is easy for hands and accidental spills with dish soap and warm water. I always remove and clean the nozzle after final use. This ensures clog-free performance and prevents damaging the nozzle, when trying to remove dried glue.

Just the job

I've used Titebond for the last 6 years, l was recommended to use Titebond after having a part machined repaired bowl blank explode on the lathe after using standard pva glue. Now I use it for all my projects turned or constructed. Titebond II has been used on outside planters and have survived several seasons in the weather so far. Always easy to apply and clean up, even when mixed with sawdust to be used as a wood filler.

TB-2 is stronger than TB-1, which smells and looks like Elmer's. But there are times when you may want to avoid it because of its short setup time. TB-3, which is marketed as "ultimate" has a longer setup time, but TB-3 has failed me many times. When assembling multiple pieces, TB also has a Hide Glue which has the longest setup time and drying time of a couple of days. If assembling multiple pieces that all have to fit into each other and when you need the ability to reposition those pieces, TB-2 is not the glue you will want to use. As for TB-3, I had 12 spokes fitting in a "Tinker Toy"-like wheel hub (for a colonial spinning wheel) and after several weeks, I could still wiggle 11 of those spokes out of the hub (only one broke), because the TB-3 glue didn't hold ... MoreTB-2 is stronger than TB-1, which smells and looks like Elmer's. My go-to wood glue. Strong, easy to apply, spreads well.The applicator on the end of the tube is great. Worth cleaning it if excess glue after each use. If you don’t then over time, it gets gummed up. That makes it hard to open (residual glue sticks) and glue doesn’t flow as easily.

Titebond for the win

Lowes wanted me to leave a review. So here it is. Titebond is great stuff. No issues. Here is the value-add for those interested:Titebond is for interior use onlyTitebond II is water resistant and can be used for some exposure to the elementsTitebond III is supposedly waterproof (probably just more water resistant than Titebond II)The holding/sheer strength is roughly equivalent. I'll generally get Titebond II since it is around the same price as Titebond. Titebond III tends to be more money so I only use when I need that level of water resistance.
