Good. Easy to use. Simple
Fast, but tends to leave a black burr on the non-grindstone side, which must then be filed off. Only works the full length of the blade if it is lower than the handle.
The first time I tried it this sharpener I almost ruined a knife. Working out exactly how to position the knife in the slot came first. Second came when the machine stopped because it had reached its shutdown temperature. I am now getting fair results on three types of knives. As they don’t need sharpening every day I use the old time sharpener and that extends the life of the blade. So far I am happy with the machine.
Does exactly what it is suposed to do sharpens knives corectly to razor sharp, have not tried sharpening on anything else yet.
I would have thought that this sharpener would work better for the price, but honestly it should be around $20 for this uality
I have been very cynical about knife sharpeners in the past, but this one is very easy to use, and puts a nice edge on the knives. There were a few sparks while it reshaped the edge, and alternating left and right edges, then transferring to the fine side, and again left and right edges. We ended up with beautifully sharp knives. Very impressed.
Price was competitive compared to others (electric) I'd looked at, and I was apprehensive about its effectiveness - but quite surprised how good the results have been on the ten knives I've sharpened so far - happy to say it seems to have been pretty good value.
I read and followed the instructions sheet and was afraid to use it when i immediately saw sparks come from it when putting a blade through it. I realise its a grinding wheel but was worried i would wreck my blades. I may have to practice more with it but am reluctant to
