Lines are great! almost no warping - astonishingly aspherical— superior to the previous generation 11-16mm. Good on 4k, but low resolution image starts to show itself when wide open. T4/5.6 is the super sweet spot. Great bang for the buck.

The rings are hard to rotate. When you need to pull/rack focus quickly it just doesn't do it. Maybe with a follow focus ring you can have better results. Overall it's a mediocre lens. Sort of worth the money but you won't be blown away.

I needed something wider than my Fujinon MK 18-55, took the chance on this lens.I was a bit concerned with color matching but it actually pairs wonderfully with it. Its a bit heavy, but not surprising considering the amount of glass. construction quality is great and the IRND comes in handy on my B camera kits.

It is an excellent lens that works as advertised. It is parfocal so it maintains focus throughout the entire range. The focus is quick and smooth. I use it with a Komodo and it gives a very cinematic result. Also, there is no vignetting when used with a super-35 sensor. I tried it out on my Z-Cam F6 and the vignetting disappears at exactly 14mm as advertised on full frame sensors. The image quality is both sharp and cinematic for beautiful shots out of the camera.
Oh my, where do I start. Ive been waiting forever for a PL-mount cine lens that will give me that ultra-wide shot. Never considered Tokina a big player in this field, but they killed it with this lens, there is simply no competition, doesnt matter whats your budget. It performs great: nice color, smooth FIZ rings (though focus-ring rotation will feel like 720° if you are using your hand), no noticeable distortion and very good build quality.
The 11-20 ATX is a great wide angle geared cine lens, it matches close enough to the Tokina Vista Primes, which is nice for swapping for a lighter and smaller rig for gimbal shots inside cars and tight spaces. The added threaded filters are perfect for not needing to use a matte box to drop in ND’s saving more space and weight. The FIZ rings have the perfect amount of resistance and are butter smooth. Focus rotation from it’s closest point to infinity is about 300 degrees, so doing a smooth pull will be much easier with a remote focus unit. Lastly not a lot of distortion in its widest, and it’s almost non existent at 20.
Love how well constructed is this lenses and its performance. No chromatic aberrances in its widest at 11mm. None noticeable vignettes and vertical distortion at the sides of the image. One of my wise investments! Use it with BMPCC6KPRO.
Used on my BMPCC4K and was very happy with the quality. Very wide when zoomed all the way out, and the zoom range is decent as well. Gears worked perfectly with my Tilta Nuclrus Nano also. Very high quality manufacturing, feels built like a tank!
Very professional crafted lens. I use it next to my Canon cine primes. I chose this lens for more run and gun style. I do use my 14mm and 24mm Canon cn-e. This is best if you have to change a lot for instance documentary (I use Red). Its a bit cooler and sharper (don't mistake this kind of sharp with resolution sharp) than the Canon. I Like the canon better but has just different character. But matchable in post.A con is that the aperture ring is not carved 360. So for remote focus you have to set up your motors differently.
I own 11-16 T3 PLmount ver and this 11-20 T2.9 PL as well. I can tell the image quality got better, and its look and build quality nicer than previous vers. But I find this lens have more distortion at any range through 11-20mm compared to 11-16. its very obvious and visible that this lens have distortion unlike 11-16 slightly have one.I shoot building and interior/exterior, very sensitive to lines and its distortion. I took this lens to work and found out I need to correct lens distortion for all the footage I took that day because distortion was huge compared to 11-16.but I can tell its image quality got better. So here is your option, 11-16 will give you solid non-distortion(almost) but less clear image11-20 is clear in its quality but with visible ... MoreI own 11-16 T3 PLmount ver and this 11-20 T2.9 PL as well.
