The only thing holding this lens back is the weight, but if you're used to using a heavier setup or ok with the lens possibly being heavier than the camera, this is an incredible lens. 16-28 is a nice wider angle range and it covers full frame cameras. Crisp all the way through.

I really like this lens. For the price, there's nothing like it. Nice smooth, clean action on FIZ. All that said, Tokina would have done well to put a 1/4-20 mount somewhere for a lens support. My follow focus motors tend to push this lens around a bit, and there's simply no good place to put a 3rd party support that wouldn't impede either focusing or zooming.

I have had this lens for several years. It is sharp and durable. If you need a wide-angle PL-mount lens in this price-range then I highly recommend it. Also, it fully covers my RED VistaVision sensor.

Got the PL version . This lens is exactly what I wanted it to be and beats the Sigma 18-35 in every way . And it has a really cool character on S35 at 16mm, the corners look like a painting haha, for lack of a better description.
Nicely put together EF mount lens. Checked other reviews on youtube prior to ordering and the two things I didn't see mentioned often are (1) the focus throw is approximately 110 degrees and (2) there are no electrical contacts so f stop is not available on cinema camera view screen nor recorded in metadata. Neither is an issue, just something to be aware of.
For the price and short zoom range of this lens, the fact that they lied about it being parfocal doesn't sit too well with me. That is, unless mine is just a bad one – in which case, do you want a lens from a company that's irregular on 4500 dollar lenses?
I just use this lens for a great 4K project and all the team love it
