Tom Ford Eye Color Quad 02 Cherry Smoke

Bought as a splurge/curiosity. The colours are very nice, fairly pigmented, easy to blend, and smooth. The brown isn’t as deep as I would like it to be. I find when I blend it with the pink/mauve shade, it doesn’t do much even after building up quite a bit. I think the pink/mauve and brown should be used separately as deepening shades. The top left is a topper/glitter and is very pretty. It’s good for a basic shimmery eye. 4 stars because I like the formula and the colours, but there are good quality palettes with similar shades for a better price.

This definitely doesn’t deserve any more than 3 stars. The quality doesn’t come anywhere close to the wet/dry quads from many years ago. The shadows are VERY sheer and VERY dry. The darkest shade is so dry, it crumbles. The only reason it’s 3 stars is that I still kind of liked the look that I got out of it. I combined it with my own gold shadow and it was very nice and

I am not a review writer but felt I needed to after this bamboozlement. I ordered this after looking at the swatches online. That beautiful shimmery brown is what sold me. So I get the palette, and it looked so sad. No shimmer. All mattes which I love with at least one shimmer. Bottom line, it’s not what you’re getting in the pictures. That’s all!

I purchased before this appeared on Sephora. This is the wet/dry formula and looks more pink on my cool skin tone. I find this to be of good quality just as all TF wet/dry eye quads. Glad I have this in my collection. I recommend!

Favorite Palette

This review is for Electric Cherry. The colors are in the wet/dry formula. True color to pan. Colors are all in a soft metallic sheen, easily build from a sheer wash to full pigment. All four colors work beautifully as a single color of your choice on the eye. I received compliments every time I wore this palette. All the shades compliment each other beautifully. Shades include a light shimmer neutral with no glitter, a light neutral pink, perfect for all seasons, a cherry red and a berry that does not have a black base (as found in many purples), this is a true berry in neutral and gorgeous as a liner or just above your crease that expands your eyes! Just simply incredible. Makes my hazel-green eyes glow !

I really want to love this

but, I’m so used to more pigmented eyeshadows and most high end eyeshadows are more subtle. It is buildable but took awhile to get there. These shadows are soft and buttery, almost silky finish, very sophisticated. However, I prefer pigmented shadows, especially if I’m rushing out the door. That being said, I do like it. I recommend picking it up when they’re on sale tho.

I wanted to LOVE this…

Listen, it’s a luxurious lovely lovely texture! I got Body Heat btw. BUT! Returned it only due to the fact that the bottom 2 shades looked pretty much identical once applied on the eyes. For the price, i would have liked to see a difference. I soooo wanted to love this. I got Leopard Sun as a gift and while the shades are nice, I wanted something more sultry hence getting body heat. Gave it 4 stars for the packaging, the experience, how you feel when implying the shadows (bougie AF) and I did like the quality but had to take away 1 for the lack of originality in the current selection of quads. If you can afford one, go for it. If you have to save up to get one, I would tell you to try something else!

colors different online vs real life

Nice pigment. I wanted rich red’s and berries as depicted in the color story. You get two mattes, a satin and a subdued shimmer. Two of the dark colors are very brown. I was able to duplicate the colors in my Huda beauty small 9 quad palettes with better pigment and sublime finish. Tom Ford Cherry explosion is all shimmers but true color in the pan just fyi.

its a miss 4 me :(

its got an extra star for me for the packaging. very light and the top color left is like a light tan. They swatch about 5 times lighter than they look. Pigment slightly increased wetting the brush. Beautiful but not that shimmery. the burgundy goes on more like a rose. the red is very pale red. its still beautiful tones just as long as you know they aren't very "electric". If you're looking for toned down/muted red and pink this will work for you. I was looking for more electric pop so im going to return it.
