On the other hand, the orange shade surprised me positively: very well pigmented, works perfect when applied dry and gives a really beautiful colour (though I am not a fan of such warm shades). The same with gold: super shiny, unique and very easy-to-apply. To sum up, I don't recommend it if you're looking for a good pigmentation and ease of use. From my perspective, when you buy only 4 shades for such a high price, they all should be working perfectly and effortlessly. But maybe this quad is just not for me, and if you prefer subtle colours and want to experiment, maybe you'll like it more (still, I recommend looking for promotions).

The Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Eyeshadow Palette includes four colors, which is great for beginners like me and makes application and color choice painless. An additional bonus for us notices, is that that two of these colors – despite appearing highly pigmented in the pans (Shimming Peach and Sand) -- go on quite sheerly when applied lightly with a brush. I used the dark brown-esque (called Dark Purple) shade on the tip on a dampened fine eye shadow brush and lined my upper lids from the half-waypoint (mid pupil) outward and slightly upwards. I used the beyond gorgeous plum color to line the midpoint of the lash line inner ward towards to corners of my eyes. Both darker colors (Plum and Dark Purple) go on very pigmented – especially when wet. As I stated earlier, I am relatively new to this…but almost always have purchased high-end luxury make-up lines which tend (in general) to good in quality, but I have never seen a metallic palette with minimal to no fall out! The smudges you see in the photographs are just that – smudges. These are smudges that occurred when I tested the colors on my skin for the other photographs. As pictured in in the photographs with the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Eyeshadow Palette, the brushes are small and although they may prove helpful for skilled detailed work, or simply fixups on the go, I did not even bother with the two utensils. The mirror is large and clear, taking up the entire space underneath the top lid cover. I should also note that the way this Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Eyeshadow Palette opens is genius; it opens from a recessed potion, thus eliminating accidental bumps and spills when this palatte is on the go. #Perfection This is hand-down my new favorite eye shadow palette and when it is time for a replenishment, I will turn first to #TomFord for eyeshadow options and inspirations.

I was very excited to get this product, as I love testing out high end beauty and TF is one brand that I am interested in exploring more. The packaging definitely reflects its luxury status and was a very nice surprise upon opening! While the quad is beautiful, I do want to note that these colors are not “my colors”. With my skin tone, eye color and hair color—I find eye makeup to be much more flattering when cool toned rather than warm like this Honeymoon shade. The top two shades are almost impossibly to distinguish when on the eye and the red toned shade is pretty but not deep enough to be brought out significantly against the warm champagne gold. Overall, I think this is a beautiful product and the quality is top notch, as the pigment is there and I experienced no fall out (which is always a struggle with shimmer shadows—brand aside). The only reason I have to take off a star is because of the versatility of the shade option I received. Given that quad palettes have a general purpose of consisting of shades that are worn together and/or can be layered, the Honeymoon Quad falls short as the shades are just too similar to achieve the same look that other TF options provide. That said, this is likely a concern limited to few shades and have nothing to do with quality itself! I am definitely interested in trying out quads that are more complimentary to my tones like mink mirage or noir fume, both of which seem to have more shade contrast as well. I’d recommend this product, but maybe try a different shade :)

So I would recommend using these eyeshadows dry for your daily routine and using them wet when going out or wanting an intense look. You could also incorporate both methods into one look, such as using the shadows dry for creating a softer look and using the darkest shade wet to create a nicely pigmented wing. This is the way I use this palette most often since thats usually the look I go for. This palette has three shimmers and one matte. The darkest shade is the matte, which as someone who likes creating darker eye looks, I appreciate. It is not completely matte, it has subtle shimmer going throughout it but it is hardly noticeable when applied so I don't believe it will be a problem. The two top shimmers in this quad are too similar, in my opinion, there isn't enough of a difference between the two of them to justify having them both in the same palette. if these are shades you like though they may be great to have. My favorite shimmer is the red in this palette and is the most unique shade in here, I don't have much like it so I enjoy having it there. The shimmers are very subtle when dry, but when used wet they create a more glittery look on the eye. They aren't chunky or uncomfortable or get in the eye since they are regular shimmers as opposed to some more glittery shimmer shades that I have tried in other palettes. Overall, it is a very nice palette and I would recommend to anyone looking for a luxury beauty item to add if this is what they are looking for (only the ones with TF imprinted on all the eyeshadow pans since those seem to be more worth it in my opinion). TLDR: Pros: Can be used both dry (subtle) or wet (intense) or even both to suit your wants. Very luxurious feeling, and a nicely formulated palette. Blends nicely. Cons: Shimmers are best used with finger or wet. Cautious when wetting your brush as having it too wet may cause trouble blending. Top too shimmers too similar for my personal liking, this could differ depending on the person.

The velvet bag is great because it will help keep fingerprints off of the shiny pallet case. Some shadows feel heavy or cakey. The shadows didn’t flake or fade they stayed true to the color that I originally applied earlier in the day. They feel silky smooth and they are very easy to blend. It doesn’t tug on my eyelid like some other brands. Overall I am in love with this pallet and would recommend it to anyone who could afford it. I do think the price point will turn away a lot of people so maybe wait for Sephora VIB sale. It will be totally worth it though.

I wrote an earlier review on this product near the end of September, but I feel the need to expand my thoughts for something so costly. This is a review for the De La Créme quad solely.I am an eyeshadow minimalist - a little bit of brown around the eyes and some golden in the corners. I find most shadows to look tacky and powdery. For these reasons I am very picky about colour, formula, longevity and the overall feel. For me (personally), this palette is perfect. Perfect shades for a daily look. Perfect smooth formula. Perfect lasting power, and it makes my eyes look perfect. This is all I need for my eyes. The shimmer shades are frosty and subtle - almost sheer - which (again) is good for ME. The mattes especially blend out like heaven. The longevity is also perfect for me as it lasts through a day in university, and at least half a night out. It does fade a bit through the day but not enough that I feel the need to reapply.I’ve been screaming ME ME ME! throughout this review, because that summarises exactly how I feel about this product. I love it for ME. But for $112 CAD, it is absolutely not a must have for most people. Some might find the shimmer shades to be too sheer, or average at best, and that could totally be true. So yeah, this isn’t a useful purchase unless you love it like no other. If I did not love this product so much, or if I got the same use with something even 50 bucks cheaper, I would regret buying this deeply. Objectively a B+ product I would say. Do what you want to with this info lol!

Very warm neutrals that are more nuanced in use than they appear in the pan. The formula is quite nice as well. The shadows are buildable and more forgiving than shadows that hit you with a ton of pigment right away. This palette was an experience. I have to mention how pricey it is for 4 shades, but I did receive it as a free sample and didn’t have to pay the high price. My favorite part of this product is the quality of the packaging. It is truly exquisite! The velvet bag to protect the palette from smudges and scratches is super useful and something I didn’t know I needed with it. The palette itself has a gorgeous reflective face, easy to open, and the magnetic latch is superb! The makeup tools inside are equally as amazing as the packaging. They look beautiful with the small details of the logo, etc and work very well. It’s also not often you get such a unique mini brush in these kinds of palettes as it often is only the mini sponges. I was hoping for so much more but this is a completely average palette. The shades are nice and should be able to complete a cohesive eye look but they are all shimmers. I would expect a quad to have maybe one matte shade for transition at least. Individually they are all nice and look shimmery and lovely. They swatch nicely without any powder kick up and they have a light, satin feel to the touch. I personally find this palette, however, to be uninspiring and difficult to use as a complete look because of everything being shimmer. I'm constantly having to dip into other palettes to finish looks with this. Again, these are not things I've never experienced before but I've had much less expensive palettes perform leaps and bounds better. For the price, I'd expect much more. I think they're relying on their brand name and price tag to justify their average quality of shadow. I can't be the only one who thinks this way. Free or not, I have to be honest about my experience and I would say to look elsewhere or wait for a sale if you're just dying to try the formula. An added perk, and another reason why I opted for this quad color option, is that the brownish shade on the bottom right can be used with an eyeliner brush to create a perfect subtle winged liner look if you’re in a pinch and don’t have your eyeliner handy or if you just want to achieve that, ‘is she wearing eyeliner or does she look like that naturally?’ look!
