It is very difficult - as is always the case with Tom Ford perfumes - to break the fragrance down into its individual components because they are so well-blended, as is the case here. But even this is not a despicable vanilla, like in the very close drydowns of some other perfumes, but is slightly ambered, wonderfully creamy and still carries all the spice of the previous course well-bedded in itself. I would characterize the fragrance as spicy-oriental rather than gourmand, but it's up to the individual to decide what to eat... But what sets it apart from many other orientals is that it always retains a certain transparency and never appears sweet, overblown or overcharged. I also think it's a perfume that can be worn all the time: in the morning, at noon, in the evening, at night, in spring, autumn and winter. For this type of perfume, it's quite unusual And last but not least: I actually caught myself putting on this wonderful fragrance just for sleeping. Decadent, I know. but gorgeous! This cologne is filled with rich blend of spicy and citrusy fragrance which comes out as a little less masculine at first but once the smell settles in, it gives away sandalwood and vanilla ember aroma for a creamy, woody finish. This balances out the overall fragrance for a long lasting/not over-powering smell of spice, wood, and sweet all into one. Noir Extreme Parfum is a rich, long lasting fragrance. The first notes I smell when I spray it on are spicy notes (mainly ginger) and flowery notes (mainly rose). In a weird, but positive, way, the opening also has a sweet gasoline-like undertone to it that makes it smell luxurious. Definitely a unique scent, unlike anything else in my fragrance collection that comprises of mostly blue and fougere fragrances (but I haven’t smelled the original version of Noir Extreme, so I can’t make a comparison to that). However, it does have the ability to "revive" itself and become stronger if you increase your movements and activity or work up a sweat. All in all, I highly recommend Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum.One very small gripe: I wish the bottle cap was a bit more sturdy and clipped into place over the sprayer. Instead, the cap fits over the sprayer snugly, but doesn?t click into place, so it can move and rotate, which just makes it harder to travel with. But I didn?t let that affect my overall score.

I will say, going back to the beginning of this review, this is a headier fragrance, it’s not sometime would probably wear everyday. My daily routine includes more of a light/fresh type of scent, but I will definitely wear this for dinners and go out in the evening. The packaging is pretty stunning too, the bottle is made of a very rich deep cocoa colored glass that is dense and heavy, and it’s trimmed in metallic gold. Tom Ford is known for his undeniable level of taste and Noir Extreme is no exception. 5 out of 5, def recommend!

Noir Extrême reminds me more of the classic Pert Plus shampoo smell (LNDLH reminisces me of that every time!), with a really nice vanilla backbone.Nevertheless, this is a great entry-level scent among gourmands, as it is not too daring, but it's very well-built and performs in real satisfactory manner. On my skin, it lasts for roughly about 3-4 hours before turning into skin scent. Projection too is moderate to intimate. If you are looking for something that would spread throughout the room and has a vast projection, this might not come up to the expectations. Lack of longevity also kind of goes against the characteristic of a parfum concentration and it seems like it’s a weaker concentration of oils.My recommendation: the perfume itself a beautiful and interesting blend of ingredients however, should you buy it or not totally depends on what you expect from a fragrance. Will definitely be a nice addition to your winter collection!
