Tom Ford Noir Extreme Eau De Parfum 100ml Spray

Thank you to Influenster and Tom Ford for this complimentary product to review! Although it’s classified as a men’s fragrance, I think many women, myself included, will love to wear it as well. It’s a perfect blend of all the fragrance elements without a single note standing out. It reminds me somewhat of Cinnabar by Estée Lauder (which I love) in that it smells like everything wonderful about Fall. It’s warm, spicy, woodsy, yet slightly sweet -the perfect combination! My husband and I both tried it. It’s strong at first but not overpowering and works very well with my husband’s body chemistry as well as mine. I loved it on him. He likes it too but actually likes it better on me so it just depends on your fragrance preferences. It smells rich, and spicy-not too sweet and is blended so well that it’s hard to describe. It smells like everything luxurious, warm, and delicious that I love about Fall and Winter. It smells so good in fact that I would love this scent in a candle, soap, lotion, room spray -you name it! It is an expensive perfume, but I think it’s worth it. This bottle will last a very long time (you don’t need to use much) and I’d rather buy one bottle of this than several other less expensive ones. This is the first time I’ve tried a fragrance by Tom Ford and I’m very impressed! Thanks again so much for the opportunity to review it.

This cologne is filled with rich blend of spicy and citrusy fragrance which comes out as a little less masculine at first but once the smell settles in, it gives away sandalwood and vanilla ember aroma for a creamy, woody finish. This balances out the overall fragrance for a long lasting/not over-powering smell of spice, wood, and sweet all into one. Not my ultimate favorite collection of Tom Ford, but I think it is worth the purchase. The pacaging is beautiful and sleek. Love the black and gold. I used this as well as my husband and grandson. When first sprayed I could smell a light powder scent as well as a spicy Woody scent. It smelled different on all three of us but the guys won! It smelled awesome on them. This is an awesome fall fragrance! I would recommend this fragrance by Tom Ford for sure! Now to find my Tom Ford fragrance!

An excellent, sophisticated fragrance!

Noir Extreme Parfum is a rich, long lasting fragrance. The first notes I smell when I spray it on are spicy notes (mainly ginger) and flowery notes (mainly rose). In a weird, but positive, way, the opening also has a sweet gasoline-like undertone to it that makes it smell luxurious. Definitely a unique scent, unlike anything else in my fragrance collection that comprises of mostly blue and fougere fragrances (but I haven’t smelled the original version of Noir Extreme, so I can’t make a comparison to that). This fragrance fades to a beautiful prominently leathery-amber scent that lasts for many hours. I can see this scent being a bit polarizing though, as it’s not something everyone is used to, so I’d recommend sampling it before buying a full bottle.Since I got ... MoreNoir Extreme Parfum is a rich, long lasting fragrance. I can see this scent being a bit polarizing though, as it’s not something everyone is used to, so I’d recommend sampling it before buying a full bottle.Since I got this fragrance, I’ve worn it a couple times a week. I see it as being more suitable for nighttime and upscale occasions. I personally prefer to wear bluer fragrances during the daytime and as my daily fragrances, but I see this working great as a daily for people who dress more upscale on a daily basis. I’d categorize this scent as masculine, but also slightly unisex, as I can see it working for women in the right occasions, given the flowery top/mid notes. The bottle is an absolutely beautiful and work of art, hands down the nicest-looking bottle in my fragrance collection. The bottle itself has a super shiny gold-colored finish and the ridged cap complements the bottle. The bottle perfectly matches the elegance of the scent in my opinion. The scent is very long lasting on my skin, lasts about 10-12 hours before it starts to fade completely, and I still get whiffs of it after showering before bed. This scent is well composed but refined, and considering the price, I can’t say it’ll be “full-size bottle worthy” for everyone. I’d highly recommend sampling it at least once if the note breakdown seems like something you’re looking for.I recieved this product as a free sample from Influenster and Tom Ford.

Great for colder weather usage, excellent longevity

THIS IS FOR THE EXTREME PARFUM PRODUCT! I received a nice sized bottle (1.7 oz) from Influenster (thank you!) and I was excited to try it out immediately. I appreciate having a good amount of product so I truly have a chance to evaluate it thoroughly and give my honest feedback. The size provided was more than adequate for me to fairly judge this scent.I?m a fan of Tom Ford products (I love his scent named F*cking Fabulous) and I knew that this Noir Extreme scent would live up to the same high standards. I put two sprays directly on my wrists and I immediately got strong vanilla, tobacco, and sweet notes with a hint of some delicate earthy and woodsy tones. At first I noticed the full effect of the scent, which is very crisp and sweet, but as it dried down, it lessened in intensity after about one to two hours. After it had a chance to dry down, my wrists continued to project a light scent for many hours afterwards. It has a great longevity - it continued to project from my skin for over 7 or 8 hours - and it appears to be great for more elegant night events, but also day-to-day use in colder weather. Putting it on an hour or so before going into work is ideal when you don?t want to project too strong of a scent. Once it dries down, it does become more subtle and lighter. However, it does have the ability to "revive" itself and become stronger if you increase your movements and activity or work up a sweat. All in all, I highly recommend Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum. One very small gripe: I wish the bottle cap was a bit more sturdy and clipped into place over the sprayer. Instead, the cap fits over the sprayer snugly, but doesn?t click into place, so it can move and rotate, which just makes it harder to travel with. But I didn?t let that affect my overall score.

Immersive, unique and unexpected!

Noir Extreme by Tom Ford is an amazing fragrance, assuming you don’t mind a somewhat headier scent. The citrus and florals combine with sandalwood and amber in a surprising fashion, with all of them under-toned by a rich earthly vanilla. To be honest, headier spicy fragrances don’t usually work well with my body chemistry, so I wasn’t sure how this would suit me. Plot twist; it actually smells kind of amazing on me! At first I tried it out at home, just to see how I would like it. The orange blossom and jasmine smell amazing, and surprisingly the Indian kulfi worked really well on my skin too. The sandalwood and amber merge with the fresher notes without overpowering them and overall it makes a really interesting and compelling fragrance, the kind of scent that you can’t quite put your finger on the different notes because they dance around with each other and make a kind of shifting fragrance story. One moment I pick up the orange blossom, later the vanilla, and then later again the rose absolute. I decided to wear to a friend’s wedding and I swear I had 6 separate people ask me what I was wearing because they all liked it so much, including my Ex who was really interested in what it was. I can’t ignore that level of proof, this is definitely a amazing and surprising fragrance. I will say, going back to the beginning of this review, this is a headier fragrance, it’s not sometime would probably wear everyday. My daily routine includes more of a light/fresh type of scent, but I will definitely wear this for dinners and go out in the evening. The packaging is pretty stunning too, the bottle is made of a very rich deep cocoa colored glass that is dense and heavy, and it’s trimmed in metallic gold. Tom Ford is known for his undeniable level of taste and Noir Extreme is no exception. 5 out of 5, def recommend!

Not Unique

I received this Tom Ford fragrance for free from Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review. This used to remind me of Carlisle from Parfums de Marly (I guess it must have been the saffron, nutmeg and vanilla), but with each additional wear, I tend to think that this is closer to La Nuit de l'Homme than anything else, with vanilla on top to lend it a gourmand aspect. It may seem odd to compare those two, but the cardamom is central in both scents, and both are rolled up into a well blended whole wrapped up in woody and flowery undertones. The gourmand aspect of Noir Extrême obviously sets them apart, however I dare anyone to spray them side to side, and notice the similarities. The gourmand aspect of Noir Extrême obviously sets them apart, however I dare anyone to spray them side to side, and notice the similarities. The flowery tones are also quite different, as lavender is quite prominent in LNDLH.There is no doubt that Noir Extrême has plenty of qualities: it is very well blended, it performs really well, and it has a real nice, mass-appealing scent profile. This is quite a safe pick for fall and winter if you and your surroundings don't mind a gourmand type of scent.I wish it had a bit more character, or perhaps that certain notes had more pop to them, or that they did not all equally be part of the composition. It's not a real issue in that it goes to show how the notes are well blended. But this is why I would pick Carlisle, Herod or Layton before I would pick this up: something special unfolds when you wear those, and the sillage that they leave has something both mysterious and cozy. Noir Extrême reminds me more of the classic Pert Plus shampoo smell (LNDLH reminisces me of that every time!), with a really nice vanilla backbone.Nevertheless, this is a great entry-level scent among gourmands, as it is not too daring, but it's very well-built and performs in real satisfactory manner. It may not ooze with personality, but it's far from boring or unpleasant. In a few words: Imagine La Nuit de l'Homme with added vanilla, and different flowery undertones.Pros: Quite versatile and mass-appealing for a gourmand scent. Very good performance.Cons: Lacks character a little bit.Overall rating (out of five stars): ???½

Sweet Addition to Winter Collection

I have been using this fragrance for about 2 weeks now - took my time to use it at different times of day before I wrote a review on it.Starting from packaging, the box is designed well and is instantly recognizable. I’ll give packaging a 7.5 out of 10 and the design of the bottle an 8 out of 10. Some might find the bottle too flashy, however, it is distinctive and with TF initials in black on a gold cap, I don’t mind the flashiness. Now moving on to the fragrance itself and how it smells: right after spraying it on, I smell a blend of cardamom with a fade hint of orange/ginger, maybe some amber. Cardamom is the most distinct to my nose in the opening. Cardamom is the most distinct to my nose in the opening. Once it settles down, it opens up to a more versatile blend of kulfi/pistachio with vanilla, amber, cardamom, and tonka bean blended in a creamy and smoky fashion. It later reveals the leather notes which last the longest.Summing up the review, if you like creamy, smoky, and sweet fragrances, this one could be an interesting addition to your collection. To me, this one is better suited for colder weather because of it’s warm and smoky aesthetic. Now the areas that can be improved: longevity is limited and for a fragrance that bears TF initials and the price tag that comes with it, I would definitely expect it to last at least 10-12 hours but sadly, it doesn’t. On my skin, it lasts for roughly about 3-4 hours before turning into skin scent. Projection too is moderate to intimate. If you are looking for something that would spread throughout the room and has a vast projection, this might not come up to the expectations. Lack of longevity also kind of goes against the characteristic of a parfum concentration and it seems like it’s a weaker concentration of oils.My recommendation: the perfume itself a beautiful and interesting blend of ingredients however, should you buy it or not totally depends on what you expect from a fragrance. Will definitely be a nice addition to your winter collection!

Think Gourmet Pistachio Ice Cream With Spices

I typically don?t like fragrances with these note breakdowns despite the fact that the notes themselves seem like they?d be a perfect combination. I find many gourmand scents of this nature are overly sweet or don?t blend well together. I also often find that Tom Ford quality is amazing but the scents don?t meet my preferences for the price tag. I was therefore very surprised to find that this was exactly what I was looking for from the scent profile. The spices give a unique (to me) warm smell and while the fragrance is sweet I?d equate it to a gourmet pistachio ice cream where the nuttiness in flavor (here spices) are just as prominent as the sweetness. It smells more like a baked good that is semi-sweet and the flavors you?d get in a real kitchen. The scent also lasts at least 8 hours for me and doesn?t change all that much during the wear down.Despite such high praise this lost a star for two reasons. First as a personal preference I?d still prefer something slightly less sweet with a bit more potency. Second the house just released a new parfum version (vs. this EDP concentration) that gives exactly what I feel I wish this one would be. I?d rank that 5 stars and this 4 as a result, but if you prefer a sweeter scent you may want this version. Also if the note break down of Indian spices with a bit of a creamy background doesn?t sound appeals this may not be for you regardless of quality and I always recommend trying before you buy at this price point. Please note this review is based off a free product I received in exchange for the review.
