Tom Ford Rose D'amalfi 50ml

I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I was surprised by how much I liked this perfume! I am a huge fan of very fruity-forward scents all year long (my go to is Daisy Love), but this Tom Ford Roses d’Amalfi is definitely going to be in my rotation regularly throughout the fall and winter. The rose/floral scent didn’t stick around too long for me, and while it was present it wasn’t overpowering or as thick as what I expected a rose fragrance to be. The “powder”/heliotrope scent (which was still almost floral - hard to describe!) stuck around all day without being overpowering. It almost had a minty smell on me after a while. I think this will take a back seat in my rotation until we get until the cooler months, but I feel like I will really love this for fall and winter. Since it’s not something I feel I can really wear year-round, I would have a hard time justifying the price to repurchase on my own, but I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to try it!

I love the box and how easy it slides over the bottle.The first time I tried this perfume I was a little overwhelmed by how strong the rose scent actually was. It reminded me of a rose water facial spray I once owned. I was disappointed because this was the only Tom Ford fragrance I had ever owned and for $270 I was expecting it to be fabulous! I sat the bottle aside for a few days and then came back to it. This time I shook the bottle a little in an attempt to mix the different notes together. The divine smell of roses with a little kick to it (almost like a spicy rose) mixed with the bergamot with just an array of floral and a touch of powder all mixed into one. A couple sprays is enough to last a full work day and then some. A bottle this size will definitely last me a long time, which makes the cost of it a lot more reasonable than what I first thought. I'm so happy I received this at NO cost for my opinion. I'm also thankful I decided to try it again instead of putting it aside forever because I use it almost every single day. If you love floral scents, especially rose ones, this is the fragrance for you!

This perfume is not what comes to mind when you think floral, at least not to me. Initially, the scent is a heavy powder with floral traces, very dainty. Definitely what comes to mind when you think of older powder cosmetic scents. After some time, the scent transitions to a warm sweet (like a brown sugar) with traces of the powder, but it's still there. This perfume wears really nice and lasts all day. You don't have to use more than a spray if you use your wrists. DO NOT let this get on your clothes because the scent will linger even after washing. Overall the quality of this perfume is really good would probably last at least a month because you dont need to use much. I was moved. It took a while to unfold to the bergamot stage as it maintained the heliotrope for the majority of it's lasting power. I'm not a fan of heliotrope but this perfume is an exception. It brings an heir of soft femininity whenever I wear it. This is something that is completely new to me. I wear it every chance I get whether it be day or night. It's surprising and probably one of the more simplistic perfumes Tom Ford has created that I've experienced thus far. The lasting power is phenomenal but do be prepared for that lingering and profound heliotrope.

To start with, I have to say that I love Tom Ford's packaging. The box and bottle are simple, but elegant. The whisper pink color of the perfume is so delicate and beautiful. I have owned one other Tom Ford perfume in my life but I have smelled many others and I can say his scents are usually sensual and woody with a hint of floral and spicy in a few.
