My first impression on the rose prick just by reading it me makes me think that this scent would be too sweet, flowery and too feminine for me. I AM WRONG. The top note scent came a bit strong and masculine.It was suppose to be of sichuan pepper and turmeric, however I did not notice any turmeric scent at all. Unfortunately, I’m not fond of rose or patchouli scents. So this was a total miss for me. I did try it twice, and honestly, I had to wash it off. Not off putting as I enjoy patchouli, but definitely very forward despite typically being a base note. There is still floral notes early on of rose, but theyre sharp with a tickle of pepper to give it a spicy note. The dry down turns almost powdery, a hint of rose and patchouli and tonka, but the tonka is not a super sweet scent instead just warm and mellow. Honestly I feel it's currently too warm to appreciate the scent in full currently. it is transitioning into autumn for much of the country, but in arizona it is still warm and it carries the scent too far and doesn't do the soft spiciness justice. For a night time or autumn/winter scent it would be perfect. something simple to add warmth in the cold. I don't know if i would classify this as a truly unisex perfume. while it starts as fairly spicy and warm with sharp florals, the powdery dry down might end up too feminine. But for people who enjoy scents that are in-between or more complex. it reminds me of lush's lord of misrule due to the patchouli and pepper notes which i enjoy around the holidays especially, but with an added kick of sharp rose. If you enjoy patchouli and rose i think its an excellent perfume to try.

A Heady Winter Delight

I want to preface by sharing that I received this product as a gift from Influenster - thank you! Tom Ford’s perfumes have always been recognizable to produce quality scents that leave a strong and long lasting presence. Another key trait of Tom Ford’s is that it can easily be worn by men and women. When I tried this, my immediate reaction was that it reminded me a bit of cologne and it also drew the image of being bundled up in the winter. I personally really like this scent! I'm big on floral scents except for rose. Therefore, I was nervous about what I might think about this scent. And since it was a gift from Influenster and so expensive, I didn't want to be disappointed. So, at first spray, all I could smell was roses, and I was immediately disappointed, but then something magical happened, the rose smell dissipated and this rich, ambery, floral scent came through and that's all I could smell for.the rest of the day. And I do mean the whole rest of the day! This is the only eau de parfum I have ever worn that has lasted through a full 12 hour shift! High quality well rounded perfume with musk notes.

I was first going to give three stars just because it isn’t quite my favorite scent, but then decided that just because it isn’t my favorite it still smells very good and is a well rounded perfume with strong properties. I would say this is a musk forward/ bit more masculine forward than floral first to be honest. I am not really into super floral perfumes so I enjoy different woody or musk scents to round them out but this one is very heave in the musk/ woody scent. It is a well made Gigi quality perfume and if I liked a bit more musk I would totally love it! I also need something a little more subtle. It is a bit expensive but honestly a little goes a long way so it would prob last a long time and make the price worth it. Overall I would recommend to the right person for sure!

I think this perfume is hard to describe but before buying one should try wearing it all day. To me it’s very peppery, powdery, and only slightly floral. The patchouli stands out the most to me and masks the rose scent. I think it’s a sophisticated smell but not very youthful, I may not buy it myself. I noticed that in a small room a single spitz will give me a headache, but when I’m out and about the scent isn’t concentrated enough to hurt my head. It’s a lovely bottle and very long lasting scent I can detect almost 7 hours later but overall I don’t find myself reaching for it much.
