Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Soft Teat, Pack of 2 - Fast Flow

My baby is now 8 months old, we had been using evenflo transition from breast to bottle. He loved them until he started strangling out of nowhere during feeds, I went months buying easily 300$ worth of bottles and nipples all evenflo and they all always leaked. I spent a ton more buying different types of bottles and He wouldn't take them. He was fussy and not sleeping good anymore and we had lost our peaceful, joyful feeding time. I was truly heartbroken and spending way to much money trying to fix this problem. I recently bought the tommee tippee closer to nature soft feel bottles and nipples and He actually took them. He was a little unsure the first few feeds but seems to have taken to them thankfully. The slow nipple leaks out a little when he's dosing in and out while eating so I just ordered the extra slow hoping he can get back on track to eating the way he loves to. My advice to any mama out there is to keep your baby using the slow flow unless they clearly want the faster flow, my baby loves sleep eating while we cuddle and can't do this with fast flow without choking. All of that being said, thankful for these bottles, my son is sleeping soundly again!

I really love how the design of this product mimics the actual nipple. I was a breast feeding mom that was looking for a product that could cause less confusion when someone else would feed the baby my pumped milk. These did the trick, my daughter never had any problems transitioning between breast and bottle. She also had very little to none gas problems. They are a little pricey, but I was able to find good sales at Babies R Us while I was pregnant and really stocked up. I recommend this to any breastfeeding mom that needs to occasionally feed the baby from a bottle without the baby noticing such a huge difference. A little tip I would give is to make sure the air valve is always facing up when the baby is eating. The only con I can give is that because of its shape it is sometimes a little hard to get the last little bit out of the bottle and you have to kind of swirl the bottle around to move the last bit of milk into the nipple. Totally worth the trouble though!

Brilliant teats

I got these teats to review and they are absolutely fantastic! I’ve sworn by tommee tippee from the start. I’ve tried other brands before and have found that they leak, these have never leaked and they are brilliant. I’ve found that these dont stain either which certain foods which other brands to also. These teats are easy to install into the lid of the bottle to which is a bonus. Overall I rate these 10/10, fantastic teats would definitely recommend using these.

Flow is way too fast!

My 6 week old manages to finish a bottle with these teats in about 3 minutes. He splutters and chokes on it and obviously throws up a lot after due to taking it too quickly. We use Aptamil Gold so not sure if the consistency is just too thin but we swapped to the Medela teats and had no issues. It’s a shame because my first daughter used the Tommee Tippee teats from newborn age before they were vari flow and they were great.

Good teats for the next phase of feeding

Just starting to use these with our little girl who has just turned 3 months. We changed teats as she was starting to fuss and struggle to get milk fast enough from the first teats.So far she is doing ok, but has gulped a few times with the new flow speed but is adjusting well to them.They are hard wearing teats which cope with teething babies well.Easy to clean and pop in and out of bottles to wash.We have used them for our 3 little ones who have all got on with them really well. Tommee tippee is our go to baby brand.

Medium Flow Teats

Switching baby from slow to medium flow Teats was easy, she could accept the change straight away and commence drinking from them without drowning herself! They are easy to set up and clean, and the availability of them in stores is much appreciated! Baby accepted these teats with ease and is keeping her very happy!

Not all the same flow

We love extra slow flow nipples for our little one. She feeds great and doesn’t spit up or cough during feeds.However, what I noticed is that not all these nipples are created equally. Some flow so slow nothing comes out. So frustrating! I’m about to order 2 more packs because I had to throw out the crappy ones that weren’t flowing much at all.

Overpriced

These nipples do let out about double what the 0+ did. Tommee tippee turned out to be the only bottle my son really took to, which is why after investing $60-70 on the bottles I am disappointed to have to purchase these nipples as he grows. $5.10 for two comes to $25 additional investment for 11 bottles until 6 months-another $25. That's a total of $120 for bottles and nipples. I tried the cheap Gerber ones first and unfortunately he just didn't take to them, the mam bottles, munchkin latch, or lansinoh. So, overall these are great quality, but they are also hard to keep clean. They develop a water spot type film that doesn't come off with repeated scrubbing or dishwasher cleansing either. Works perfectly with the anti-colic bottles!

I see people saying they wouldn’t recommend this product because it collapses. I’m assuming that’s because they aren’t using them with the anti-colic bottles. These are made specifically for those bottles and work perfectly with them! They won’t work with normal TT bottles because there is no vent hole in the nipple. The anti-colic bottles vent through the ring instead of the nipple, so they never collapse with the anti-colic bottles and my baby has zero issues with them!

Works so good

I feed my little girl with both breast and bottle. For one who didn’t want to take the bottle to begin with, I used these because we were given a bottle and works so good. I purchased these tests so we didn’t have to keep upgrading the test as she grew. She drinks with no problems and so easy to use
