The bin is great, it seals very well and contains the smell. The refills are great too, but incredibly overpriced. Even on sale they are poor value, and each cartridge does not last anywhere near as long as claimed- you would have to be compressing the nappies extremely small to make it last. We are now back to just using normal bags. If you are using the cartridges, line the bin with a garbage bag to make it easier to empty.

I love the Tommee Tippee bin but find the brand name refills really expensive. I definitely recommend buying a value pack with the bin initially as they can be replaced so quickly and easily and we were going through one probably weekly at the beginning. Once I had a set of cartridges I purchased refills online that I load into the original cartridges myself. My main motivation for this was I could buy biodegradable refills (for the nappies we use that are biodegradable), at a cheaper price. However Tommee Tippee refills are now more environmentally friendly but still expensive. Always buy on sale!

I bought the bin and the 6 pack cassettes on sale, after a few recommendations.The cassettes themselves are super easy to load into the bin, and the film in the new ones are meant to be more eco friendly. They last for quite a while as well, depending on how much you twist, of course.That said, they are pretty expensive, so I will only purchase them when they are on sale.I will be looking into alternative refill options when my bulk buy comes closer to an end. They also do not have an indicator to identify when the refill is coming to an end. Would be a handy thing to have to avoid any surprises during the night nappy changes.

I like the system of twisting the bin bags to keep in the smell. It has definitely reduced the smell a lot compared to a regular bin. It's easy to use, although I find I do need two hands to turn the cassette and hold the bin in place. It just reduces the number of trips to the rubbish bin since the smell is contained and it holds around two days worth of nappies whereas with the regular bin it starts smelling quickly and we had to take it out every day.That said, I still think it's fairly expensive for what is essentially just bin bags.
Being first time parents, we were thrilled to receive the bin and heaps of refill cartridges, thinking it would be a great system for when bub starts doing stinky poos. But we were really disappointed because the cartridges did not seal off the nappies completely so the smell eventually still got through, and you ended up with one smelly full bin and it was awful! Plus the cartridges were really expensive so it didn't make sense to keep using them.
These bags are really good for the tommee tippee bin and they neutralise the odour 99% of the time (for a poo nappy I’ve got a cotton ball at the bottom of my bin with a couple of drops of essential oil on it).They make Nappy changes easy.And I tie them up ready to just put in the bin which comes in handy especially at night time when it runs out.The only thing is how pricey they are! The only time I buy these are on sale and sometimes I ask myself is it worth it? Instead of just using a normal bin bag.
Used in conjunction with the twist and click nappy bins.Each refill lasts a while and has been used for all 3 kids since birth.Each cassette lasts on average a month. None have ever broken when emptying so thickness wise it’s quite decent.It has a pleasant smell to trap in the horrendous nappy odours but just need to ensure it’s emptied when it gets full as the smell will start to seep through.Overall - an absolute must have. Handy for the late night nappy changes and for those who have 2 storey houses or apartments.I purchase through Amazon and find it to be the most economical.
I like the Tommee Tippee nappy bin because it is effective at sealing odors. However, each cassette refill only seems to last about 2 weeks for us (not the advertised one month duration) and at $10 per cassette (on sale), it just seems far too expensive. I also don’t smell any citrus scent as advertised. I might look for cheaper refill alternatives that are compatible with the bin going forward.
The bin does what is advertised and fairly straightforward to use. I'm just really disappointed with the amount of waste from the individual cartridges. Can't these be reused? Tommee tippee should set up a free return system so that these could be reused. Fortunately there is an option of a generic brand bag refill and you can bypass the original cartridges. That's the only way I'd recommend this product.
Cannot fault Winkalotts for price and service - they have always delivered.However, these liners are next to useless. They used to be great at containing skinky nappy smells. But a short while ago the liners changed, and now they just don't work. So disappointing, as we were previously really happy with the Tommee Tippee Sangenic nappy bin.
