I have tried Evahs, Zyex, and Helicore for my stubborn violin. The Tonicas were the solution!!!The stay in tune, no buzzing, nice projection, and a nice sweet sound on the upper A. I am thrilled! I've loved everything from Fiddlerman!!

Awesome strings

So I was looking to buy a new set of strings for my violin. I had no idea what to get, so with a lot of research I settled for these. Probably one of the best choices I have made, they brought my violin to a while new level. I definitely recommend these. And on top of that, I was very happy with the delivery, it was much faster than I expected

Maybe it's because I'm a beginner and my teacher has me really wailing on the strings, using all the arm weight to get the "core tone" -- but I've unraveled two of these already. I'm going to Dominants now in my search for a synthetic string that doesn't lose it's windings in less than 2 weeks. Tone-wise these are good, but keep in mind I'm a newb and ignorant of all the nuance and subtleties to look for.

Good sounding for tiny instrument
27 March 2019

As a professional violinist in a major American orchestra I’ve been buying 4/4 size strings for decades. I like a good middle of the road, quality, old school string. When it came to buy a set of 1/16 strings for my sons 1/32 size Violin this was one of only a few options. They fit well, not too long, and sound warm and present.

Great Strings for Beginner-Intermediate Violin Player.
27 June 2022

After watching a couple reviews on YouTube (linked below) I decided to try these Tonicas, and they lived up to my expectations! These strings are fairly neutral in sound, and feel low-tension to play. They are my first synthetic strings, and I'm really pleased with the sound-quality on my student instrument. They settled within a few days, and now hold their pitch really well. I plan to stick with these strings until I upgrade to a better violin.

Great quality a must have for any beginner violinist
30 October 2018

I am a beginner violinist and recently brought a so-so violin to start with, decided to buy new strings to make it sound better. Well they did the job and I am happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a beginner violin looking for better sound quality!

Nice inexpensive and easy upgrade from steel core strings!
15 June 2021

I was using Preludes on my student violin, which seem to last forever, but after a a while, it's best for the instrument and the player to change them. Hard to beat the price of steel, but I decided to try synthetics as an upgrade, and these strings have a light smooth balanced sound and easy on the fingers. They are also very nicely priced compared to most synthetics. Break in was 2 or 3 days, and by the time a week past, they were stable and sounding good. Not sure how much of that was me acclimating to them. It will be interesting to see how long they last, because even though I like their sound and feel more than steel, they are some bucks past double the price. Some won't feel like spending over $20 more for a set of these if they end up preferring the sound ... MoreI was using Preludes on my student violin, which seem to last forever, but after a a while, it's best for the instrument and the player to change them. Very cheerful
8 January 2021

I had these strings on my concert violin for about 7 months and I really enjoyed them. They were a little bright for my already brilliant violin which is why I tried viliano to try to warm things up a bit, but I can't complain about the tonica at all. They stay in tune very well!

really good strings

I am a simple student in my high school orchestra. These strings are really worth their money!! I must admit that they sounded a bit funky even after tuning them at first, but now it has a wonderful tone and clear sound. Would definitely recommend
