These games were great growing up. This does not disappoint. It's not just a remaster, it's been rebuilt from the ground up. The graphics and sound really are "current" gen. Whether you played this back in the day, or just want something fun to add to your collection, I highly recommend you get this. Even if you don't like skateboarding, this game is very entertaining and will provide hours of fun for everyone.

I bought the new Tony Hawk P.S 1&2, and its honestly great! Fun and challenging for all ages (I was taking turns with my 5 year old daughter who picked up the basics quickly!) With the new addition of some modern pro skaters mixed with the original skating pioneers like Rodney Mullen and Chad Muska, this game is perfect for anyone who played the first Tony Hawk titles and want to revisit the classic levels. A new generation of kids will also really enjoy playing this game!

You’d come racing home from school knowing you’d have about 2 hours before the street lights came on, you’d get on your push bike and ride to your mates house. 9 times out of 10 you’d end up versing each other for hours or until mum rang up your friends mum going “can you send brad home it’s dinner time”. If you are into this kind of nostalgia then this is the game for you! From 50-50ing the chopper blades in warehouse to 5-0 Venice ledge. This game brings back memories of simpler times!
If you’re reading this, you played this in your youth. In an age where Avril Lavigne pretended to skate, faux punk was at it’s highest arc, in came the game that placated you after not being invited to the big party in year 9/10/11. You spent your Saturday night with this. Sure, the story on Monday may have been the events of that party, but in your mind, you’re still Rodney Mullen doing a dark slide in San Francisco. Who could forget winning gold in Chicago as Stevie Cab whilst listening to Goldfinger or Bad Religion? Anyway, Put the kids to bed, let your wife/husband/partner watch Netflix on your laptop, crack on Bodyjar, Vermont’s finest offering, or newly welcomed MxPx, and Skate!!!!
The early TH PS were just great games, great to explore and complete the tasks as required. All with out the addition of all the new different concepts that really ruined these types of games. This along with one of the best sound tracks ever put together for a game. Cannot get any better.
Seems alright. It's a pretty limited demo and Tony has such poor stats (that you can't upgrade) so he can't hit a lot of the gaps in the level. Seems to control very well and my old muscle memory seems to kick in nicely. There isn't double triangle grinds however but there is for flip and grab tricks for some reason. Some of the 'quality of life' things from American Wasteland etc. Aren't there like reverse turns and the manual to speed you up again. I suppose it's trying to emulate 1+2 but it has a lot of things in it from 3 and 4 so I'm not sure why they drew the line there. Looking at the menus, I'm not sure what Vicarious Visions have said but it looks like it might have microtransactions, and Activision won't hit the button until it's been out for a month or ... As a middle-aged dad and gamer, this game took me back to the late 90s, in a mates basement, sneaking beers and rocking out to Goldfinger and RATM. Some of the graphics improvements from the original game are still a bit sub-par by 2020 standards, but I felt that just added to the nostalgia. My only complaint is how much of it is a straight lift from the old games, they could have thrown in some more new features, maybe a bonus map or two from some of the later games.
This game is awesome. Surely you’ve played tony hawks when it was on PS2, well this is just as good as that. Brought for Father’s Day was hard to find but thank you Harvey Norman as they had it in stock.my partner has played this everyday since. Best gift he says
