Tooheys Limited went public in 1902, however Irish immigrant John Thomas Toohey and his brother James Matthew’s journey started almost half a century earlier. They ran The Great Britain and The Limerick Arms pubs in Melbourne (which are still local icons today) before relocating to Sydney and John obtaining his legal brewing licence in 1869. Tooheys New is a 4.6% ABV Aussie lager that changed the face of the Australian beer industry, with light hop aromas and a subtle malt bill, this little number is the quintessential thirst crusher that’s tailor-made for the Aussie climate.

Tooheys New Cans 30 x 375mL

Free from artificial ingredients and preservatives. 99% suger free. The nicest beer you can drink. Excellent drink from a stubby and superb from a glass....must be icy cold to get the best taste. I ask this..... how come more people in Victoria are not drinking this beer. Is it because it it too highly priced. Maybe, 1st Choice could put it on special now and then. This would definately increase sales volumes once people get the taste.

After a short return to WA earlier this year, Tooheys New has once again disappeared from Liquorland's WA stores. Other Tooheys products are still available but strangely, not Tooheys New. Local WA stores tell me that it's no longer on their ordering system. Why?

Been on this for a while now. It's a smooth refreshing drink at a reasonable price for 30 cans. Never seems to go on special much and when it does, they'll take a WHOLE DOLLAR off? What's the point??
Always happy to get a great product at a terrific price. Tooheys maybe a Cockroach beer however it quenches the first of many winning Queensland’s
A case of Tooheys New is just the "Pick-Me-Up" Tonic needed for those dower Lock Down Days, that as a Nation we are suffering through at this moment in time.By drinking this Australian Icon beer you are doing your bit to help stimulate the economy as well as warding off the depression of being shut out from your local. As an Aussie at this moment in time it is your Patriotic Duty to "Drink Up, Shut & get your Covid Vaccine jab, the Tooheys Beer will help ease the pain. Well done Mr Tooheys
I only drink tooheys new from a can it never seems to be on special nowadays. Why is it so? As professor somers said.
I’ve been drinking it for years. It’s the best. I’ve tried many others and always end up back here.
Been drinking Tooheys Old and New for 40 years, shame they have stopped supplying Tooheys Old in the 30 pack block, the old in stubbies is to expensive.Tried other beers and they just don't cut it.
