Tovolo Glide-A-Scoop Ice Cream Tub

I purchased three tubs (one in each colour). They are of good quality and pull apart easily for cleaning. The non-slip base ensures the tub doesn't slide around on your bench/table, and the slimline design makes for easy scooping and stacking in a freezer with limited space. Highly recommended for homemade ice cream lovers.

This seems to work best when put in the freezer several hours so that its totally cold before filling with ice cream. Then it helps speed up the freezing process. It fits easily in small areas and looks so gorgeous with it’s bright magenta colour. With it’s name I did expect it to come with a matching scoop but this is sold separately.

I bought this so my homemade ice cream wouldn't take up so much space in the freezer. I had been using regular tupperware to store my ice cream before that. While this ice cream tub has a slender profile, the lid doesn't create a tight seal so your homemade ice cream (which is prone to getting a bit icy due to the lack of preservatives) gets freezer burn after a day or 2. It's also recommended to handwash this product, which gets another ding from me because I want to just chuck it in the dishwasher. There are tiny little divets where the lid attaches to the container and it's impossible to reach with a sponge. Not worth the money, keep using tupperware containers.
