I purchased three tubs (one in each colour). They are of good quality and pull apart easily for cleaning. The non-slip base ensures the tub doesn't slide around on your bench/table, and the slimline design makes for easy scooping and stacking in a freezer with limited space. Highly recommended for homemade ice cream lovers.

This seems to work best when put in the freezer several hours so that its totally cold before filling with ice cream. Then it helps speed up the freezing process. It fits easily in small areas and looks so gorgeous with it’s bright magenta colour. With it’s name I did expect it to come with a matching scoop but this is sold separately.

I bought this so my homemade ice cream wouldn't take up so much space in the freezer. I had been using regular tupperware to store my ice cream before that. While this ice cream tub has a slender profile, the lid doesn't create a tight seal so your homemade ice cream (which is prone to getting a bit icy due to the lack of preservatives) gets freezer burn after a day or 2. It's also recommended to handwash this product, which gets another ding from me because I want to just chuck it in the dishwasher. There are tiny little divets where the lid attaches to the container and it's impossible to reach with a sponge. Not worth the money, keep using tupperware containers.

The first month I regretted I had only purchased one if these as I make regular ice cream for my husband & healthy ice cream for me. Maybe it was user error, but as I tried to scoop out really hard ice cream, I ended up breaking the bowl. If I order something like this again, I'd order the single serve containers as it fits me better to let a single serve out to thaw rather than this larger container to thaw & then freeze again.
Stored home made sorbet in this container. Easy to scoop and no ice crystal formed. Sorbet was churned before storing though. Love it. Would purchase another one.
Great tub, which nearly holds a whole portion of the Cuisinart 6 cups ice-cream.The ice-cream has remained crystal free 4 weeks later.Holds firmly on our stainless steel bench when scooping.Be warned it's very brittle straight out of the freezer and shatters into many pieces when accidentally dropped on a tile floor. Great whilst it lasted (4 weeks)
I do like the shape of this container as I can scoop a beautiful amount perfectly. The problem is the design of the lid. It's not the most airtight. I thought the lid itself would be silicone but it's plastic so over time, ice crystals form underneath the lid and in turn makes the ice cream less than desirable. I've had more success simply putting plastic wrap directly on top of the ice cream and that helps a bit.
I thought I could just use any old container but was wrong. This is the perfect size shape and everything for my home made icecream. It also keeps the ice cream nice and creamy and easy to serve. Should have bought a second one.
I have only used the Tovolo 1.5 Qt. Ice Cream Tub once. It is very sturdy and is well designed to take up a minimum amount of space in the freezer. It is a perfect size for one recipe of the 1.5 quart Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker. It is a bit hard to scoop ice cream out of unless you have the right kind of ice cream scoop. Ours is a wide blade. I will have to purchase a scoop with a smaller head. I think I will buy another one so we can make more than one batch to have different flavors and enough to share. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the challenge of getting the ice cream out.
Not bad. Would be great to have a non-plastic option, and also an option for smaller batches, but it works overall. Rounded bottom and ends make it relatively easy to get everything with a scoop, which is obviously the point of it. Easy to use, take apart and clean, and reassemble. C&B had it for as good or better a price than I'd seen online so I grabbed it off the shelf while I was there.
