Quite a powerful router. Unlike my previous Linksys and Netgear routers, this one hasn't caused a random disconnect from a Zoom call at this point. Don't let the big numbers fool you, though. All routers are marketed so that they add together all of their theoretical Wifi speeds, but you're only likely to be using one channel at a time. But even then, anything higher than 1Gbps is only going to be good for local file transfers, like to an in-home server. The physical ports can only reach that speed, so gigabit internet is pretty much the limit of what it can serve.Marketing BS aside, I have been running it for about a month now. Easy to install, and has a moderately powerful smartphone app for remote management. Security features seem up to date. Performance is excellent, with WiFi 6 giving noticeable advantage over previous WiFi levels. Easily managed guest mode. Supports Access Control List, but I would like two lists -- Allow and Block. The minor performance improvement of WiFi6E doesn't seem worth paying for, especially since most devices don't yet support it. But my recent PC and Galaxy phone both now show a tiny 6 and run quite fast. Recommended for all but the incorrigibly techie user.

Good router for 1gbps

This router works perfectly with my fiber 1gb internet. We had a Netgear NightHawk MR60 mesh system that I got from Walmart as well. Always had issues with the QoS of that mesh system, speeds would top off around 500mbps on all my devices, even the Cat6 cable connected devices. With the TPLink router(after turning QoS on), all my devices that are hardwired get 800-900mbps and WiFi 6 devices get 600-900 mbps depending on location from the main router. I also have two TPLink Deco W6000s connected hard wired back to the router that are in AP (access point mode) to help cover dead/weak spots of the router. They work great together. Constantly fast speeds no matter where I am in the house!

Increase your speed and coverage

Very easy setup via web browser.Excellent signal strength throughout the hose.Very fast connection speeds. My speed improved from 156 Mbps download to 436 Mbps in my kitchen. In the living room it went up to 415 Mbps from 140 Mbps.I was previously using the router built into my modem which provides speeds over 400 if you're standing 10 feet away with nothing between you and it. The AX4400 gives me 400 speeds through walls at both ends of the house.

Not as advertised!
14 August 2024

I bought this for the OneMesh: Create a network that only needs one name and password by pairing Archer AX4400 with a compatible TP-Link range extender. After purchase of Router and Range Extender I found out the hard way that I wasted my money because the product wasn't as advertised and didn't support OneMesh as TP-Link had removed it in their last firmware update. I was somehow supposed to know this before my purchase according to their customer service. Without the extender or onemesh system as needed I would say this products WIFI signal isn't reliable if you live in apartments or a brick home, not worth the price!

TP-Link AX4400, Dual Band, Wifi 6

Another excellent router from TP-Link; easy to install and configure; noticeable internet connectivity increase. This is an add-on to Spectrum’s wifi 6 router and an upgrade from routers AX55 and older AX21. Two video door bells definitely are more responsive. Hardware is v2.6; there’s an important firmware update on TP-Link support site. The required Tether app is always easy to use. The features and specs of this model are probably considered overkill for a small residence but the benefits are worth the small expense and I’m future proof for a while as I convert everything toward the wifi 6 standard. The availability of six antennae permit more precise alignment of signal transmission to connected devices. Very competitive price, it was in-stock and the WalMart on-line shopping and drive-in, pick-up service was great.

TP-Link Wi-Fi Router!
22 February 2024

I’ve had this TP-Link Wi-Fi router for some time now. I’m happily satisfied with the purchase because I noticed an increase in my Wi-Fi speeds from the previous Wi-Fi router I have. You can certainly notice the difference between Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6. I haven’t noticed as much buffering/lagging or slow speeds since using the TP-Link router. There are many options on the website to set up the Wi-Fi how you want it to get the speeds you desire. It’s certainly worth the price. I have mine set to 5G speeds only and all my devices run smoothly. I say give this device a chance. You won’t be disappointed.

So this review covers the packaging of the product, what the product does, how it does it and suitability for home applications.Packaging is okay. It would be good or average but for some reason the opted to cover each of the 6 antenna's with a plastic sheath that does not just pull off.If you have an older wireless router or live in a large house or apartment or one with a lot of walls then this is the product for you. While it's not a mesh network if you locate this centrally in most houses or apartments you will get good coverage all over your space. I have a detached garage where we live and I got coverage out there from it. It comes with both a phone and a web app which is nice. As with most other products the web app does a lot more. It has good security with password printed on both the unit and on a pressure sensitive label. Also comes with WPS for your devices.Like most products nowadays it comes with a "quick start" guide and you go online for the meat and potatoes of instructions. The quick start is adequate. How it does it. Comes with a WAN port plus 4 ethernet ports. The WAN port you would use for your cable modem in most cases or ethernet depending on how you get your signal. Has external power supply and 5 control buttons, power, LED (to turn the LED indicators on front on or off), WPS for security, WIFI to turn wifi off in case you want to use it as a 4 port dumb switch, and a reset button you use a paper clip with. It does have a single USB 3.0 port that you could hang a hard drive or thumb drive off to share photos, movies, files, etc.If you have an older wifi router you are going to notice a big positive difference with this unit. Setup is very straightforward .

This router needs 10x6 inches table space and needs about 7 inches in clearance for the six antennas, it was nearly twice the size of my previous router.Setup was simple enough that I imagine anyone with the most basic understanding of plugging in wires or connecting to wifi would be able to get on the internet without much hassle. It did seem to take a few minutes after connecting the router to our internet modem before the router light for the internet connection changed from orange to green connecting to our Xfinity service, much longer than expected. The device requires you to use a few password security checks like letter/number combinations, but nothing too crazy. You have the option to register for an account and connect your router to it, but you can skip all that and just function as a local administrator. The 2.4 and 5 Ghz wifi networks use the same network ID and password, and the guest networks are set to off by default. You have the option to toggle one of the two networks off and only use the 2.4 OR 5 Ghz if you prefer. You can also set up a Windows Samba share, local FTP, and Internet FTP with this device. The router also offers a backup program for Mac computers called Time Machine. You have the option to add on extending devices for a mesh network, even to the point of a web link in the router setup to the manufacturer page to purchase them! Mesh is enabled by default, I turned it off since I won't be using it.I can tell a good difference in my wifi speeds where there is signal. Still can't get a good signal in one of my rooms past an electrical box in the wall.

Wi-fi signal is weaker and slower than Tenda ex3000. My game lags and shakes more.tôi đã mua Tenda ax3000 một phân khúc thấp hơn tp-link ax-4000.and all my problems were solved. My game runs smoother than my dad's laptop on the 2nd floor, which also has signal.I didn't expect a more expensive product to be of poorer quality than a cheaper product.tp-link ax-4400 is only superficial. The inside is extremely bad. I would not recommend this product to anyone. and I also returned it and bought a Tenda ax3000 for 80$ and I saved 40$.
