This would have been a good product but a firmware update has removed features from the GUI and you now have to download an app to access some settings. They actually REMOVED items...

The LEDs will sometimes randomly turn back on if you just use the LED toggle. To keep them off you need to set the LED off schedule for a 23 hour and 59 minute time period (5:59 AM to 6:00 AM)Signal strength seems to be a little better than the TP-Link it is replacing but overall it appears to be less reliable. I will be avoiding Intel based routers in the future as it is the most notable difference between the 2 TP-Link routers I have owned.

It's a good mid range router ideal for gaming. Set up is easy as you can imagine via the tether app. Scan the qr code & your away. Power down your main router then connect through ethernet cable preferably cat6 or above & what your wifi speeds & deadzones change drastically. Not the best by far but for the price & my indoor needs it is absolutely fine. I wish there were more security features & I don't like you have to pay for wifi protection. I'm happy with my purchase & will upgrade when I feel necessary.

Pros: 4 Ethernet portsCons: Tp-support poor. Marketing over hyped. Fewer options to configure than older models. Homeshield does not seem to do anything. Response from tp-support is links to marketing.

Delivers as per manufacturers promise. Stable Wi-Fi. Reliable thus far. Easy setup. Comprehensive user guide. GUI easy navigation with helps. All the features expected from a decent router. Only con is that all Wi-Fi has to be on to utilise guest option so a security flaw there as far as I'm concerned. Others may not mind that but I specifically bought it for access to Wi-Fi cams and nothing else so I'd have preferred to be able to disable other network Wi-Fi.
