TP-Link CPE210 2.4GHz 9dBi Wireless Access Point
TP-Link's 2.4GHz 300Mbps 9dBi Outdoor CPE, the CPE210 is dedicated to cost effective solutions for outdoor wireless networking applications. With its centralized management application, it is ideal for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and outdoor Wi-Fi coverage applications. Professional performance, coupled with user-friendly design, makes CPE210 an ideal choice for both business and home users. With Qualcomm Atheros enterprise level chipsets, high gain antennas and high quality material, specially designed enclosure, and PoE power supply, CPE210 is specially designed for outdoor use and can operate flawlessly in almost any climate. Built-in High Gain Dual-Polarized Antenna and dedicated metal reflection ensures higher gain and lower noise interference. In advanced, high power Tx (up to 27dBm/500mw) and high sensitivity Rx (up to -95dBm) radio front-end design breaks down the barriers of traditional Wi-Fi transmission range, making CPE210 an ideal product for outdoor wireless networking applications. CPE210 is designed to work in harsh environments, even in some of the world's most hostile climate conditions. With its outdoor weatherproof enclosure and industrial-level hardware design, CPE210 can continue operating in various weather conditions, such as sunshine, rainfall, wind, snow or extremely low/high temperature environment. Double Protection against ESD Attacks Besides its grounding terminal, CPE210 offers another way to eliminate ESD attacks via the PoE adapter and Ethernet cable with grounding wire. The CPE210's additional security measures provide up to 15KV ESD and 6000V lightning protection for more reliable operation. As network scale increases, wireless competition and collisions among CPEs and base stations will be so enormous that the real throughput of the network will drop, resulting in a serious impact on end-user experience, to mitigate these effects, the CPE210 uses MAXtream TDMA Technology. Specially designed for outdoor uses.

I bought this product to solve a specific problem -- could not reliably stream my TV located in another room. The router signal was too weak. It randomly dropped the stream.I ran in to just one problem with the product. The TP-Link CPE210 has 6 modes of operation, Access Point, Client, Repeater, Bridge, AP Router, and AP Client Router. I could not tell from the product's web page help descriptions which mode was needed. What I wanted was a product that would relay my original router's signal to the TV. Repeater mode sounded right. It wasn't. But Bridge mode was. Problem solved.I cannot speak about the product's other modes but I am happy with the product's Bridge mode in solving my specific streaming problem.

Used 2 of these as a P2P wifi extension into a metal sided barn. Then a TPLink EAP225-outdoor as an acees point for 4 cameras to wifi connect.

I purchased one of these to replace a competitors product that failed after several years of service. I had this device up in running in 5 minutes or less and it's been 100% stable for several months now. It's deployed on a tower out in the open with no shade or wind breaks.
Sorted out my caravan site WiFi problem. Set TP-Link to "Bridge Mode". Now have a full signal sequred WiFi link. The signal to the TP-Link is just about 3/4 outside & 1/4 inside my caravan. With the TP-Link I now have a full WiFi signal all over
I love this product, If you have a mild ability of following directions on youtube and you like wifi outside on a budget this is the product for you. I was able to set up a chain by purchasing two of these bad boys. One hooked up to the router and the other to my garage over 160 feet away off of the original hookup like a bridge connection. I'm able to get a speed test of 35 mbps on my phone within 30 to 40 yards unimpeded centered off of each device.Best buy sales men tried talking down to me telling me that i didn't want something like this, that it was a connectivity issue, that i needed to purchase a 400 dollar mesh system and an outdoor attachment to that system for another 200. Don't listen to them and get this. for 5 bucks you can rest assured for 2 years ... MoreI love this product, If you have a mild ability of following directions on youtube and you like wifi outside on a budget this is the product for you. Seemed a little too easy for it to fail but in sure that's why they engineered the cover for it. It was quickly replaced and haven't had an issue since.Edit: This connection would be faster except my router is throttled at 100 mbps per connection so i only put a cat5 on them to begin with, they are totally rated for 300mbps which is doable with the right equipment to back it up.
Works a treat, easy to install. Plugged into the router and added the power, ran a lan wire out to the garden and hey presto. About 10 minutes setting up via the interface. Some technical skill needed as the instructions are basic.
Professional grade equipment at DIY costs. Worth every penny for long range WiFi. I have installed many units in both Access point and Bridge configurations ( in Bridge mode, half a mile at 300Mps connection ). Dave - Lazer Communications
Good price, product is good easy to install, configure.. the only thing I would say is if you can afford to get the next one up with 5ghz youll get better speeds. Overall a really good product with good coverage.
When we started having pool parties, some of our guests didn’t have very good cell reception (country living), so I decided to put a WAP on the back of the house near the pool. After updating the firmware, it was SUPER easy to setup our CPE210. The range and speed is excellent. I have a shed out past our pool in the yard that I build motorcycles in, and I was able to put a TV with a Roku in there and stream flawlessly about 75’ from the house, while IN an insulated metal shed. It even includes an injector if you don’t have a POE switch. For the price, I’m beyond stoked.
