BEST MESH out of 3 I have tried

Let's just start by stating i had no idea that you can hardwire a mesh unit to a gaming pc in a different room. Had no idea what they were. I decided to try them since i had a gaming PC on the main floor (modem upstairs office) and my router with extenders wasn't cutting it. I used to get 50 download speeds on the gaming laptop on the main floor. I pay for a gig but only got 50.... yea I know ... GREAT speeds hahah NOT.I tried 3 mesh units until i got this one .. and This one is the real deal!#1 Eero first and it worked ok but it only game me speeds up to 250. Even the PC that is hardwired to the eero that was connected to the modem (it should have been getting a gig or close to that) After about a week the speeds were always dropping.... OVER a gig from the router connected to the mdem ( and i pay for a gig dont know how that works lol) and the other units on the main floor hardwired into the Deco is giving 500-900 down..... am totally shocked. Been stable that way for about a week now. Setup was easy the app looks clean and not confusing.So if you are like me and Basic knowledge person that just wants to get what you pay for internet wise with good house coverage DONT get the others ... the TP Link Deco 55 pro was the best for me overall.Hope this helps

Better than I hoped for

This is an excellent product that replaced an awkward two router setup in my steel framed house.The NBN port is in the shed (another sad story) and we were using Ethernet over power technology. That slowed 100Mbs to 50.Adding the deco x50 has brought 100Mbs to every room of the house.Old 2.4ghz items add to the network without an issue.Esp32 devices that I coded myself add to the network without issue.I've added ddns, fixed ip for devices and port forwarding as advanced features but they're not needed for the average user.Set up is as easy as you could imagine.And the performance is as good as I hoped for and more.I read a lot before I bought this thinking I may need similar items for $500 plus, but the Deco X50 has covered it for me.

Beware if you need a daisy chained configuration

I purchased the AX3000 Whole Home Mesh Wifi system, which has 3 Decco X55 Pro units, to replace my old Google mesh wifi after I upgraded to a 1Gbps download/upload fiber connection. I configured the system with a 50ft CAT8 ethernet cable going from the garage, where the ISP router/modem is, to my kitchen where I put the main Decco unit. Second unit in line of sight of the kitchen unit in a central area and third unit upstairs in line of sight of the central area unit. I got 650-700Mbps in the garage directly from the ISP router/modem (why it's less than 1Gbps is a different issue I have to bring up with the ISP). I also got 650Mbps or so (meaning almost the entire ISP bandwidth) in the kitchen, so that was good. I figured from the Decco app that it had configured itself with the kitchen unit as the main and the other 2 as the satellites of the main. Since the upstairs one had a medium connection to the kitchen, so the drop in bandwidth (I figured). I tried to force the Decco to daisy chain the kitchen unit to the central unit and that unit to the upstairs unit, but the app doesn't have the option! Decco support also didn't help much - I could dig up more info from the internet than they could. Finally I discovered a post by a user which essentially suggested I put a metal saucepan on my kitchen unit, and reboot my upstairs unit so it would connect to the central area unit instead of stubbornly connecting to the kitchen. That did the trick! However, I still didn't get much luck with the upstairs bandwidth - it' still around 250, not 500. So I'm not happy on 2 counts - first, the Decco app should allow the user to override their smart system when needed. Second, and much more importantly, neither the original "flower" configuration, nor the forced daisy chain configuration are able to deliver the bandwidth I need everywhere I need it! That's what mesh systems are supposed to do!

Lacking a key option that would really improve it.

I had order this to put in my shop. But it doesn’t work anywhere near as good as the XE75pro I had out there. It does work good enough. I think most of the problem is it has to connect wirelessly back to the main router instead of connecting it to another one that is closer.The heat and humidity as well as dirtier conditions were my concerns for leaving the XE75pro out there. As it is more of an outdoors environment. This fit that bill much better.I have tried to move it around the shop to see if it improves but about 10% of my rated internet speed of 500mbs is about the best it can do out there. I was close to 60% with the XE75pro. This is through a brick wall, a block wall, and both buildings have metal roofs, and are 100 feet apart. As well as the ability to connect to a closer router instead of the main one. A software update could improve this, at least the connection preference option the XE has. But I would like to see an outdoor model with the extra frequency I believe it would help sending signal over larger properties as well.I worked at a 10 acre winery and brewery, we had a large outdoor courtyard/beer garden. We always had Wi-Fi issues with our hand held terminals. I believe this would be a good solution. But it would need the “Connection Preference” option that the XE75pro has.

The Wi-Fi is very quick and outperforms my internet connection. I haven‚Äôt noticed any issues with latency either. One remark I want to make here is that, even though older WiFi cards will still be able to connect and operate with the X60, you will need a Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless card to make the most out of the Deco mesh system. Bottom line: it‚Äôll be fast, but be realistic with your expectations.Regarding the amount of supported devices, the Deco X60 can serve up to 150 connected devices at the same time. Even though I don‚Äôt have 150 devices at my disposal, I can confirm that the X60 does‚Äôt sweat at all with my 35 connected devices.Through the smartphone app, you can monitor the network usage of these devices real time. Moreover, in an effort for some easy Quality of Service, you can prioritize any of these devices in terms of network resources with the toggle of a switch. This feature is a wink to power users who would like to prioritize bandwidth/latency sensitive applications.On the back of the X60 you will find two Gigabit Ethernet ports and, of course, the power connector.The Deco X60 is mostly operated via the smartphone Deco app. All the monitoring and configuration that you need or may do happens through your smartphone. You do get access to it through your computer‚Äôs browser, but it‚Äôs mostly for viewing rather than managing. Since this is purely related to software, I do hope that TP-Link will reconsider and give us a future firmware update with full browser GUI functionality.TP-Link has equipped the Deco X60 with what the company calls Homecare. That is a bundle of security and performance management features that serve to improve the user experience under the hood. It consists of a set of antivirus filters (Malicious Content, Intrusion Prevention and Infected Device Quarantine) using Trend Micro‚Äôs threats database, Parental Control and Quality of Service (QoS). Though the first two are self explanatory, the latter surprised me by the functionalities it brings. You can set the X 60 to prioritize a type of traffic profile over others. For example, if your home users make heavy use of streaming services, you can set the X60 to prioritize Streaming. Solved our internet 'dead zone' with ease.

This little gadget serves its purpose very well. It does exactly what it claims to do and is extremely easy to set up. We have a separate building to our house and whilst we could connect to the internet in that building we needed an extender to boost the signal. The old one started to interfere with the modem and we were experiencing lots of drop outs. I work from home and when it was only me using the internet it was fine but as soon as anyone else connected it became unstable. I'm useless with technology so I asked people who know far more than me for advice on what to do to stop the problem. My internet provider recommended this nifty little device and wouldn't you know it?! As compared to the standard COX Panoramic WiFi, AT&T Arris, Linksys E4200, & Motorola NVG589 routers, this solution way outperforms anything I have ever had in my house.It even way outperforms my Linksys E6800 AC1750 Wireless Range Extender solution.All three mesh devices were configured as AP's Access Points, and hardwired ethernet to the primary AT&T U-verse Arris Router. I turned off all WiFi from the AT&T Arris Router and only used the 2.4G & 5G WiFi from the TP-Link Mesh Devices. I thought about using the DHCP routing functions from the TP-Link Mesh, but I needed a few more ethernet ports on them. I also have my AT&T Router connected to two 32-port switches which provide Hardwired Ethernet connections throughout my house. There ... MoreJust installed in my house. Try to Upgrade from M5 to X50

I used to sing TP-Link praises. The Deco M5 & M9 were exceptional products however the max you can get is AC2200. Bought the X50 to upgrade and it was a disaster. Here's why:1. With M5 & M9 you get the free Homecare service. No with the X50 you get homeshield which you have to pay for and all the protection and controls you got with the M5 and M9 are gone.2. The option to replace main deco failed. I followed the instructions word for word and it failed and I had to create a new network.If you can live with A1300 or AC2200 stick with the M5 or M9 which are amazing. If you need AC3000 spend the money and jump to Orbi or Eero
