Seems to be the only bulb that won't work with other apps. Their own app doesn't allow you to add devices from other brands. There's no widget for the app for quick functions. Easily my most regretted purchase this year. Utterly frustrated and disappointed.

Excellent colour changing bulb once you have set up the app on your phone or pad. Excellent dimming function for people who don’t like bright lights just make sure you turn it off at the switch as it won’t switch on unless you have the app.

Not the most easy set up for a smart product. Lights also don't turn off fully and will still have a fun glow or flicker after being turned off. None of this is consistent and is always different LED's everytime.
A great light for all occasions including having the party function on with changing colours..the grandkids loved it. It dimms and changes colour easy. I just say ALEXA turn light on and your off. But would have liked it a little brighter, say equivalent to a 100 watt bulb, this one is 60 watt.
So pleased I bought these! Quick & easy to install, can use the existing wall light switch to turn on/off, or leave wall turned on & use my phone to turn on/off. Range of colours including white; timers and settings are great. Sunrise/sunset or set time options e.g. I've auto set:- light comes on at sunrise, white colour, turns off after 30 mins. "Go to bed" one button option turns off light after a set period. Both settings current on same bulb. Have other brand white smart bulbs installed, but their colour bulbs were mostly out of stock and too expensive where available. These stack up very well against them, at a good price. I recommend these bulbs.
No idea why the other review is complaining about the Kasa app, this is a Tapo device. Firmware updates are quick and rare, and it doesn't rely on bluetooth, so the bulbs are rarely out of action. Very responsive and reliable, I've had one for about a year now and it has never dropped its connection. Works well with Google Home. Only con I can think of is that it's really difficult to get the white temperature to an even number, it increments by 5, idk why there aren't any up/down buttons.
Pros: Range of colour, app easy to set up, user friendly. Cons: Preset themes not enough flexibility on user settings.Not a big problem due to range of colours, ability to set themes of your own.
I already had one of these smart bulbs installed and wanted another for my bedside lamp. Bought this one half price due to damaged packaging. it worked as it should, & in the words of an old British Gas advert "It's great to be in contro"
they only lasted 1 month then started playing up, the lights only work on your phone, if u try to use the normal wall switch it does'nt work. You have to use either only your phone or the switch can't use them both interchangably. pointless
