TP-Link Tapo Pan/Tilt Home Security Wi-Fi Camera

Purchased 3 cameras to cover my house windows/external entry doors.The Tapo app was easy to follow and I could set up all my cameras no problem.Picture quality is fine, tilt/rotate features are great. Camera alarm is loud enough for any intruder to hear.The app works well on my mobile phone so I can easily see the video stream from all 3 cameras when away from the house.I needed to install 2 x wi fi signal boosters in house to get good wi fi to the cameras.

App only compatible with iphn 13 or newer.

This is a neat we product. For an indoor camera. The sound quality is epic. The vision an night vision are great, Cept I wouldn’t kno an had to return as the app does not run on a phn under iPhone 13. Woulda been nice to kno before I bought it as I had to return it. Cos wasn’t about to buy a $2000 phn to run an app for an $80 product. If I had the right phn I would hav kept it. Probably something you should tell customers b4 buying the product.

Awesome home camera easy to install and use

I bought two of these - one for each main entrance to my house. It was easy to set up and then connect both on the app for easy access. It works well, though is sometimes a bit slow to detect movement in low light situations. Quite sensitive during day list times (I get alerts for trees moving in the wind in neighbour's yard) so I am confident it will pick up any unwelcome intrusions. Quick setting to privacy mode when I am home and one tap to unlock privacy mode when I leave the house. Meanwhile I can watch my pets at home when I am away.

Caution TAPO or KAZA different programs not compatible

I bought this camera because I already have several TP-Link cameras. Unfortunately this camera uses another program called TAPO. My other cameras use KAZA being TP-Link also that's why my rating is low. I never would have thought that the same company used 2 different programs. The quality and program would evaluate it with 4 stars.

Good quality video & audio, reliable & well priced

We have secured our home with several of these nifty cameras. They are very easy to set up and use. It has clear audio that picks up a lot and good quality 2K video and night vision. You can easily view and control the camera from your phone and tablet and even set schedules, detection zones, customisable alarms and notifications. The rotation is great and the ability to speak through it is handy! Very surprised at the features this little gem has for the price. Highly recommended as it is effective and affordable!

Many-featured indoor camera at a great price

Initially bought one to save night-time trips to the door to check if cats were waiting to be let in. That was 8 months ago. Was so impressed, I bought another...and now have 3!My cameras monitor outside areas through windows. Night-time reflection can be an issue with some camera placements close to window glass. With camera mounted further away from the glass, night vision is okay. Plug-in lectrical connection required.What's more, the above do not require a subscription, although more features are available through 30 day or annual subscriptions.

Simple, elegant

Super easy to setup and use. I’m having a fun time fiddling with all the features. Interface is so simple. I like how you can turn the led light off, so the camera isn’t as obvious. I like how I can turn it around remotely and view other parts of the room. I like how you can talk to whatever shifty person might be in your house and that it records everything they might say. It has an alarm to alert intruders, but I suspect they would just unplug it and take it with them...The mount makes it easy to put anywhere. It has a nice design.Picture is great both night time and day.Motion detector delay is about 1 second.Very happy with simplicity of the product. Would consider buying a second one. Much better than Lenovo’s junk.

Stability issues with a local NVR

I have no opinion about the TP-Link "cloud" product: after the initial setup I've connected the camera to a local NVR (ZoneMinder) as an RTSP source.It works pretty well, I can't complain about the features or picture quality, but the camera can lock up after a few days of RTSP streaming. TP-Link Tapo Home Security Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera

I love the functionality of this camera! Picture is very clear too! A bit impractical having a power supply compared to Power over Ethernet, but works great. I have mine on tracking and it is out on the verandah under cover. I recommend this camera for anyone wanting to venture into the camera security world as a good entry point. Integrates with Google also, so you can stream the camera picture to a Google display device, like Hub or Chromecast

Tapo C210 Good Value for Money

Great little camera and pictures, pan tilt and zoom work well for the price. But disappointed that some additional features are locked until you subscribe to cloud storage.Motion Tracking was locked out until I did the software update now it works.Features that were still locked areBaby Crying DetectionRich Notifications (Snap Shot Photo) sent to you phone &Privacy Zones are still locked. Not that I need these function’s as I purchased to keep an eye on my new Puppy, but other people my be interested.Point to Note: With app based cameras. I purchase TP-Link Tapo because I had previously had a Hills camera & with the app is no longer supported the camera will not work. Hopefully TP-Link keep the app updated.
