Mainly my fault for assuming any ethernet adapter was compatible with macOS. To the listing's credit, it doesn't claim to work with macOS anywhere I could see, but at the same time, it would've been nice to have a warning that it is not macOS-compatible. Bottom line, I bought it for my mac which it didn't work with, so now I have a useless extra adapter.

I'm sure this adapter works great on windows, but it did not work on my MacBook, on any of the USB ports. Some more explicit documentation warning customers about this would be beneficial.

I was experiencing stuttering while watching videos and some websites were not loading for me on my desktop PC. I knew it was something with my computer since my fiancé wasn’t having these issues. I tested the motherboard Ethernet port and it was not working properly.I purchased this item in hopes to fix my issue and it did the trick. Easy plug and play and I was getting my same internet speeds as if my motherboard was working properly. No more stutter or lag. This item did its job and I would highly recommend getting one if you are experiencing similar issues.Side note: this USB Ethernet Adapter works on the Nintendo Switch if you didn’t want to rely on Wi-Fi while you button mash on Super Smash Bros (LOL).
I have a wifi only laptop that I wanted to use to test a newly purchased IP camera on. The adapter allowed me to connect a ethernet cable to my IP camera for testing. After giving the adapter a IP address in the same range as the camera my system connect with the camera perfectly. I would highly recommend this adapter for anyone needing to add ethernet wired access to there wifi laptop.
Pros: Cheap works with Linux out of the box. The cable usually is an issue. No kinks or taring which did for the last one.
Hooked this up for work and have had no issues with it and speeds are consistent with my old doc. New work laptop has no doc yet so this was the fix to be wired. Works good.
The adapter works as it should. Driver automatically downloads and the internet is consistent.
The thing does what it's supposed to, I've never had any problems with the installation or operation, it's easy to handle and also inexpensive. This is how technology should work for a layman.
The cable keeps slipping out of the female end. there should be a more positive hold at the ethernet end.
