Lightweight without any risk of leakage. Well constructed. I like the pourer which gives you a good amount of control over how much fuel reaches the spirit burner. Generally the bottle looks"professional" and I consider it an essential accessory, even if for safety reasons.

The plastic Trangia bottles are good for denatured alcohol as they are fairly thick, ridgid, and unlikely to be crushed. Some people will just use a much thinner walled screw top plastic water bottle, but I'm a bit more cautious when it comes to the storage of liquid fuels. Aluminum bottles seem like a good option, but will get pitted out and eventually fail if storing denatured alcohol in them, so plastic the better option. I would assume the high cost and low availability of the Trangia bottles is a result of supply and demand economics, as these things seem like they should cost about half as much as they do. So if you want to carry denatured alcohol, these are a good option, but it will cost you, if you can find them for sale that is.

Excellent product - holds suffiencient fuel for 2-3 day hike; depending on how ecconomical you are. The pour mechanism is an easy one-handed affair that has a no drip, safety device built in - but I still dry it with a bit of tissue. Use of Bio- fuel reduced odour compared to meths. Hard plastic beats the flimsy, easily damaged plastic of a normal bottle - cutting down the risks of leaks, contamination or even fire. Great product, worth the money.

I bought this item because I wanted a safe way of not only carrying fuel but have a safe way of dispensing a small amount without spillage. The cap mechanism does this. Many serious backpackers use this bottle so I thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did. Definitely my go-to fuel container from now on.
Quality product, like everything from Trangia. The spout allows for a controlled pour. I have had a 1L for years. I bought the .5L for short trips. I've used Trangia stoves for over 20 years of backpacking and river running. With a large wok and a Trangia I've cooked for large groups, although I usually carry a small GSI wok. No clogged valves, no pressurized canisters. Just a simple, compact, cooking system.
I bought this due to the unique filler cap. It dispenses fuel in a precise manner. It makes filling a Trangia easy and without the possibility of an overflow or big spill. It’s still light and safe even if you don’t take the whole 500ml. The colour really stands out. Overall it’s great when wanting light weight!
These are great fuel bottles ads long as you are not using a stove that pressurizes the fuel bottle. I have a SEVA 123 stove so the pour feature is perfect. I attach a piece of clear tubing to one side and I can refill my stove with out taking out of of my SIGG Tourist cook kit. I have read where some one was worried about breaking the valve during transport I never had that problem before but I thought better safe than sorry. So I built a cover for the valve. I took a water bottle (the thin ones you get at 7-11) cut it so it long enough to slide down the bottle some, covered the fuel ands valve with plastic wrap then filled the water bottle with spray foam from Home Depot,
This fuel bottle is perfect for storing fuel for camping stoves. The pour spout makes pouring into small containers very easy and safe (precision is important when pouring flammable liquids!), and the spout locks securely when tightened down. Its made of plastic but its a very strong plastic that does not flex when squeezed. Ive used it a couple of times, and its worked great - will be a staple in my camping kit moving forward.
I bought this fuel bottle to accompany the Trangia mini stove, I bought 500ml size as I wanted a smaller bottle. This size was good for at least 7 nights of boiling water (600ml water) in fairly cool temperatures. I did find it could still leak if shaken, but that was no issue for me as I had it stored upright at all times.
I find its to be a good fuel bottle. I use it to bring shellite with me for my stove. It does a good job I would recommend it. Quality all round. It doesn't leak at all even in hot conditions in my back pack.
