Material: The material looks durable! It is not flimsy. Zipper is smooth to open/close. The mesh feels thick. Size: Love that the smallest one is the same length as the medium one. They are not too ‘irregular’ shape, hence easier to fit in luggage. Color: Got the black one and I like that it is has like a grey lines/undertone, which is helpful if your clothes are usually black/dark colors. Small items like black thin socks will not be invisible. Lol

We traveled Egypt and Jordan for a month. This means packing for cold wet and hot dry weather. How can you pack everthing needed for a month into one bag and find what you need easily? These beautiful cubes are the answer. Feminine colors AND they are adjustable! They zip down for shallow articles or unzip for fuller clothes. They send tags so you can label the cubes for easy searches. Intimates as well as pullover sweaters, Levi’s as well as shorts ,. t-shirts and raincoat each had their own cube. Packing and appropriate wardrobe planning was easy. Zip lock bags are banned on certain trips (environmental hazard) so these cubes are a must! I LOVE these cubes!

I ordered these packing cubes to compare them with my Gonex compression cubes I have had since 2021. I decided to return them because in the end they were too comparable to the Gonex cubes. If I didn’t have the Gonex cubes already then I would’ve kept these. In the end I just didn’t feel I needed two sets of compression cubes and since there was nothing technically wrong with the Gonex cubes other than the non full zipper opening and the very sticky zipper issues, which I would consider annoying but not deal breaker.The reason I ordered these in the first place was to see if they compressed smaller than the Gonex cubes, they were about the same. Another thing to consider is what size bags you will use the most. If you don’t need the extra large size that comes with the Gonex set then this set will work you. The largest bag in this set is slightly larger than the medium set that comes in the Gonex set. The smallest bags in this set are a long rectangular size where as the Gonex set isWhile I did do the comparison testing I realized that it is better to slightly under fill them.

I just finished packing for my trip. I am doing 3 weeks in Europe with only a carry on backpack. These cubes held a decent amount of clothes and then zipped down tight. One cube’s zipper broke but that was my error. I filled the cube completely and then tried to zip it down. Naturally the zipper couldn’t handle that. When packing the other cubes I didn’t overload them for the fist zip and the compression zip did it’s job. This is going to do a lot more for a pillow or down jacket than my rolled up linen skirts and tiny tank tops. I found it useful with reasonable expectations. This is not a replacement for a high powered vacuum bag.

Yes, you can use these to organize your outfits when traveling, but compressing it to make smaller is only a recipe for breaking it. I only packed it to its height, but struggled to zip it to compress the clothes to make it smaller. Took up to five minutes and I had to knell on it and manipulate it and pulled at the zipper 100 times before it went all the way around. My hands hurt after. I was worried if I used too much force I would rip the nylon or break the zipper. Once I just took stuff out and it zipped fine, but then there was no need to compress the clothes, it was thinned out. I got these on sale, otherwise I would’ve returned. I backpacked through Europe for 30 days and made the mistake of traveling through very diverse climates. I ordered these cubes to help fit cold weather and warm weather clothes into my backpack.Things I liked: With some wrestling, they do close even when packed pretty full. I put a lot of strain on the zippers at times and they held up. I liked having different categories of my clothes separate in my bag.Things I disliked: Bag started to get overweight at the end so I purged the cubes to reduce weight. For the most part with rolling items and packing efficiently, I fit the same amount of stuff if not more in my bag. I don’t think they really compress that much.Wouldn’t purchase these particular cubes again.

However, I decided to give these a try on a 6-day trip with 2 adults and a child. We fit everything in to a carry-on bag and a medium checked bag. I am a carry on only person and have a wide variety of packing cubes, including a set of so called compression cubes. Based on reviews I decided to buy these and used them on a recent weekend trip. I felt they performed better than my other compression bags. It is important to completely unzip the compression area before packing so you can maximize the packing space. Once packed, zip the regular zipper and then the compression zipper. I used 3 on this trip. The small for undies, one medium for night clothes and one medium for hats, gloves and scarves. I felt like the bags did save space. The zippers seem sturdy. They will be used in a few months for our trip to Peru.

These are great packing cubes. I’ve tried numerous brands and these are one of my favorite sets. The quality of materials, the assortment of sizes, and the budget friendly price combine to make this one of the best compression packing cubes available to date. Give them a whirl!
