I love this new gen 8 Madone. I'm riding about 3 mph faster than my old 2012 Madone and longer rides. 👍

I upgraded to this bike from a carbon fiber Bianchi Sprint 105 mechanical. The Trek offers great value for your money. This madone handles like a dream and is quick and responsive. I live in the Rockies and think the bike is a competent climber as well. At this price point you are getting a somewhat lightweight aero bike with carbon wheels, di2, and disc brakes. It's hard to find better value than that without buying used.
The packaging is next level. The XS SL6 Gen 8 AXS weighed a pound more than the claimed weight of a M/L. No reflectors, pedals, or cassette guard. Not sure the tubes would add a pound over sealant.

Madone SL 6 Gen 8 is a lightweight aero road bike that brings elite racing tech to a lower price point. It offers similar aero benefits to the pricier Madone SLR Gen 8, but with a more economical OCLV 500 Carbon layup and two-piece cockpit with hidden cable routing. It's built to race with geometry that keeps you comfortable on the climbs and perched for the attack. A Shimano 105 Di2 electronic groupset keeps the price down without sacrificing lightning-fast electronic shifting. Plus, it's topped off with carbon wheels for extra lightweight performance.
