TreSemme Moisture Rich Shampoo - 28 fl oz bottle

Not sure if this is the moisture rich shampoo I used (I don't remember seeing Biotin and Vitamin E on my bottle idk if they have different versions). I remember seeing Moisture Rich shampoo and having it with the matching conditioner. Anyhoo, love the packaging. Love how big it is and the amount of product you get for the price! The smell is very nice. Not too harsh. Consistency is like a liquid creamy look. Feels great on the scalp. You definitely feel the moisture.

I have the travel sized version of this that I got for when I went on a vacation last summer. I tend to only use this product when going on vacations as it’s a good, simple shampoo that does its job of thoroughly cleaning your hair and hydrating. It’s also affordable, smells really good, and a little bit goes a long way. However, I do feel like I have found a lot better shampoos for my thick, dry hair that I wouldn’t purchase this one in a full size product or use it for regular washing. It doesn’t really feel like it adds as much moisture and nourishment as it claims to do. I also don’t love how many chemicals are in it as I feel like there are so many better shampoos and products out on the market that are better for your hair.

I sent my husband to the nearest drug store to pick up things we needed immediately and this was the shampoo and conditioner he grabbed. I am by no means a hair care snob and didn't think too much about what he might grab as I've used drug store shampoos and conditioners before with little to no issues. It was frustrating enough that I was willing to drive an hour and a half to the nearest Ulta to purchase our normal shampoos and conditioners. This shampoo does indeed have sulfates which explains the dryness but it also seems to leave a film on hair, not only changing the texture of your hair but made it look and feel not clean. I think my husband could have literally chose ANYTHING else in that store and it would have been better than this.

At first, I tried it and it left my hair very soft. It felt like it left it pretty moisturized. After using for a week, I started to notice a difference... not in a good way. My hair felt more oily especially near the scalp. This only happens when my hair is stripped of its moisture. That led me to believe that this shampoo and mask was slowly stripping away the moisture rather than helping it. I had high hopes since tresemme haven't treated me wrong before (shampoos and conditioners). Overall, it's not great for my fine color treated hair.

Great for African American Hair

I really appreciate this shampoo along with the conditioner. It’s perfect for mine and my sister’s type 4 hair. While it does have a drying affect on my hair, I also noticed that it helps me to differentiate between the dry and the new growth of my hair. Normally after using the shampoo I follow up with the conditioner that has amazing slip and moisture properties. I notice that in the ingredients it has biotin as well as vitamin E. Which has played a fantastic role in thickening and growing our hair. Most definitely a staple product. Don’t let bad reviews mislead you into thinking that it’s a formula change. What most people have come to depend on are the products but not necessarily what the hair/personal diet could be missing. Had to see professional help to get it out.

We bought this product for my cousins wedding. My wife did her hair and it looked amazing. It held up all night. I tried to help my wife brush out the tangles when we got home. From 11:20pm to 1:15am I brushed which made it better than worse, scrubbed tried to remove the product, used shampoo, and even dawn dish soap. Nothing was getting it out and all brushing did was make it worse. The product made her hair crunchy which is why we were trying to get it out. We are now at a salon as they attempt to get this out of her hair without having to cut any off... 0/10 would not recommend this product. Will be reaching out to customer support Monday. Our hair stylist even said this isn't how it should be.

My 4 year old Daughter suffered very badly from a dry scalp. She'd get patches of dry skin which would turn crusty, very itchy, flaky and eventually start bleeding and scab over. We tried all the children's shampoos and shampoos formulated for dry scalps- nothing worked. I use this shampoo for myself so had a bottle indoors and thought I'd try it on her until we could find a new one to try and treat her scalp. I noticed within 2 days of using this that she wasn't scratching her head as much so continued to use it. Within 10 days her scalp was healthy, not itchy anymore, the scabs and crusty patches had completely gone and her hair looked beautiful and shiny. I know this because the product contains DMDM hydantoin which creates toxic formaldehyde when it comes into contact with water. It is the harmful chemical that makes your hair fall out, also Tresemme dries out your hair and it is easy to break off. Another reason is that it is very dry. I know this because when I tried Tresemme my hair was super dry and my scalp was all irritated and red and my scalp hurt really bad after using it regularly on a daily basis. I think that people should most definitely use other products like aveeno pure renewal shampoo.
