Triumph & Disaster Karekare Tonic Sea Salt Spray 150ml

I’m a cynical fellow. A product either does what it claims or it doesn’t. I use this and blow dry my hair afterwards. My hair comes out looking fuller, blonder and overall looking more healthy and displaying a vitality otherwise not evident. I’ve tried spin-off products of spray salt water (one from a famous Dutch hair product company starts with “R”) and nothing comes close. This is miracle water and I’m always sure to have a full bottle in my cabinet

Absolute Winner

Finally a texture spray that does what it says it does. With curly hair it's hard to strike balance between coil and fuzz, but this does it. All good to use the tonic on it's own for daily 'perfect mess' vibe. Follow up with Fibre Royale for further hold and super natural definition. Great on the scalp, and keeps hair in awesome condition with a nice scent.

Best thus far

I’ve been using R+Co Rockaway for a while now. I love that company’s ethos, scents and product performance but I felt that their salt spray was a bit too drying for my hair.Karekare’s essential oils are such a wonderful addition to a salt spray that I’m now in love with this formula. I’ll still reach for Rockaway if I’m using it on the days after I’ve used a hair mask, but for day to day styling Karekare is it

Incredible Stuff

This stuff is perfect. It smells amazing, and I don't know what wizardry it uses but it leaves your hair feeling & looking super healthy with decent hold. Perfect for bad hair days or days when I don't want to use stronger hair products.

Not made for me, but still an awesome product.

I have very straight medium length hair, and i think this is probably best suited to accentuate waves or curls in hair that already has them. It does volumise and add a nice texture throughout mine, and leaves it smelling great and feeling very soft. Still use it in combination with the Fibre Royale for medium/long length hair.

Salty goodness!

Was a bit sceptical about using a salt spray for my hair as I worry about it drying it out. Far from it! Was very happy to notice that the native ingredients in the tonic were focused on scalp repair & care. Its an amazing product that really works. I use it post-shower as a pre-styling texture, or often just by itself. It has a very natural texture, & a lovely botanical scent. Buy this ASAP.

Sticky and not much volume added

The first few times I used this it felt very sticky in my hair, like I'd gotten a fizzy drink in patches, it was horrible. Once I'd worked out how to spray it more evenly it does help add texture to my shoulder length hair but it doesn't add much volume at the roots like other texture sprays and my hair gets greasy much quicker when I've used. It has quite a strong herby scent which I've grown to like. I've almost finished the bottle and won't rebuy for the price. Tbf I have long hair so might not be the target market.

The Best Product For Wavy/Curly Hair

I've tried a lot of product to tame my waves, and nothing comes close to this spray. It adds volume and texture without making your hair crunchy, and reduces the number of fly aways. If you have curly hair, you know what I'm saying! Add a little coltrane clay to finish off a textured natural look!

Versatile problem solver

The first sea salt spray I've used that does the job (or jobs, to be exact) I want it to. Primarily I've used it as a prestyler before blow drying, and it gives my hair a nicely textured, pliable structure before I apply the Fibre Royale (I'm sure the Coltrane Clay would complement it well too). Otherwise, on lazy days, I spray it on after I hop out of the shower when my hair is still damp, then comb it into approximately the style I want, and let it air dry. This is where the product really impresses me. It gives my hair a really textured, beachy, casual look, a nice feel and consistency (not tacky or dry-looking), and a light but malleable hold. Very good

Does what it says on the tin, well bottle. Smells lovely and natural, non greasy for a hair product and does hold like you have been in the sun after having a swim at the beach. Excellent!
