This tool is completely useless, it should be advertised as door stop because that’s all you can use it for. It is manufactured so badly the blade is impossible to set.

It is cheap and its a flawed product, but not irredeemable. Its manually adjusted (no levers or knobs) so it can be a pain to set, best to adjust it as little as possible. There can be issues in the overall manufacturing quality, mine had an uneven bed for the cutting iron as an example, but these are usually fixable issues for those savvy enough to put in the work. The worst thing with mine was that the iron chatters due to lack of proper support, and that can be fixed just by making sure the iron is sharp and jamming a wedge under it. It is really not hard to fix the design it actually has a solid design basis so its a bit disappointing that this wasn't dealt with by the designers.Overall I think this tool is serviceable but it can be difficult to use and it may ... MoreIt is cheap and its a flawed product, but not irredeemable. I couldn't even get this thing to work as it is. When you lower the blade down it then blocks the opening. Something foreign needs to be wedged under the blade to get the angle right.I thought there was something wrong with me and ended up buying the Stanley version and works like a charm. Easily adjustable, sharp and works every time. The parts feel a lot more solid than this product as well.Tonight I couldn't find my Stanley one so I brought out this trojan one. It's now got surface rust and still doesn't work any good. If I jam something under the blade it just tends to slip when you're working the timber.I will not recommend this product to anyone unless they change the design

I have used this plane for smoothing edges on timber and straightening uneven edges on timber. It gets the job done but is very difficult to adjust, it stays sharp relatively good but does need resharpening sometimes.
Terrible, I bought this product a month ago and tried using it for the first time today. It is very difficult to get it set in the right position, and once it is, it falls apart when you start working with it. Such a stupid design. I thought it was maybe just me, but then gave it to my tradie son to look at and he had the same issues. Don't bother with it, try another brand
Doesnt work. Attempted adjusting multiple times, not suitable to get the angle for it to be able to plane anything.
