MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System)The MIPS fall protection system is a low-friction layer under the helmet padding that reduces the rotational forces transmitted to the brain in an impact. This layer allows the head to move 10-15 mm relative to the helmet in all directions during a fall and redirect energies and forces that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
