Great baggy short, crazy tight liner

I love these outer shorts, super breathable, useful pockets, comfy on the bike, my favorite for hot days. This is my second pair. The inner short is ridiculously tight, like for a small child. I’m 5’10, 145ish and a 30 in the baggy short fits great. I could hardly get the liner on and thought I might rip it trying. Way tighter than even Castelli stuff. I have other TLD gear, helmet, jerseys, etc. and the fit is spot on. Something went amiss with the size of these liners. They were on sale, so I kept the outer short but will have to donate the liner to some kid.

Great product

My fav
14 July 2023

Have tried TLD, Fox, Gore, Pearl Izumi, etc. For MTB shorts, these are my absolute favorite. Previous reviewer is correct that they are a little "sheer", but they are intended to be used with good undershorts!

TLD Shorts
18 February 2020

Nice Troy Lee Design bike shorts. Picture for black shorts was with black 'Troy Lee Designs' lettering and peace sign on other leg. Mine was white lettering and peace sign. Prefer the stealth black on black, and was a big reason for purchasing here, but the shorts are very good and at an equally good price. Material is lightweight so won't overheat. Shipping was very fast. Sizing: I have a pair of old TLD shorts from a few years ago. I always get size 32 in other shorts, but needed a 34 for the TLDs. Expected small sizing again so ordered 34, but I think they adjusted their sizing and the 34 was on the larger size for me. So, sizing should be what you'd expect with the other major brands.

these come with a liner which i think is a little more snug than i prefer but they are of really nice quality and the shorts are perfect. i am super happy with this purchase. the zippers for the pockets are also very high quality, which is important.

these are a mesh fabric which i prefer to the sport stretchy fabric that has become so popular. i am very happy with these.

what shorts should be
25 June 2022

This is closer to what most over-shorts should be for riding in general. Unless you're riding in sub 60 degree weather more ventilation and less weight are ideal. The pockets are sewn to the shorts which is brilliant...there's no pockets flap loose inside your pants. They are see through in the front but most people have liners underneath so who cares. I ride to ride, not stand at the trailhead. They are also nice and long...great for those with longer legs! I sized up but think I'll buy a pair my normal size once I drop a few pounds.
