This wildly expensive candle is a splurge I will submit to for the rest of my days. The smell is so luscious and sexy. It fills a room and does not overpower. Burns very clean, with a gorgeous vessel. Truly a statement candle to be cherished.

A bouquet of flowers

I bought this as I wanted to try a couple of Cire Trudon scents. This is one of my favorites. It had a fresh flowery scent without being too strong. It smells so good. If you want a room that has a fresh flowery welcoming scent I highly recommend. It is also not extremely sweet. Perfect balance.

Beautiful!

Complex. Floral. Like an elegant perfume. The scent permeates the room even when not burning. Nothing "gender neutral" about this candle. My husband loves "pretty" scents. He doesn't care at all for masculine, smokey candles. He thinks they smell like old empty houses.Josephine is a beautiful feminine scent for the woman who loves being a woman.

Divine Luxury

Any candles from Trudon are absolute luxury and particularly the Josephine. It burns evenly, never smokes and the fragrance is divine. Will definitely buy again. Also love all the little samples free with every purchase.

Love at first smell...

Joséphine has a perfectly balanced fresh, floral, warm bouquet. This gorgeous candle has the notes of three of my most loved fragrances - Bergamot, Jasmine, and Sandalwood – I just had to have it and light it right away! Within minutes, the scent filled my living room (as all Cire Trudon candles do) and despite the gloomy weather outside, it made me feel as though I was sitting in a beautifully blooming French garden. The absolute dream gift!

Lovely Candle if it were not received in such poor shape!

This was my first purchase of the Cire Trudon candles.The fragrance of the candle (Josephine) for me is absolutely5 stars, however when I received the candle (packaging and the shape it was in) it was a disturbing mess which is why only 2 stars and frankly it is also a very costly candle; Neiman Marcus Customer Service handled it beautifully and I give them also 5 stars for their rapid response, professionalism and resolving of the issue. I would definitely recommend this candle as long as it arrives in the condition it demands given the price point.

My Favourite Candle Fragrance!

I was first given this as a gift and I just love it so much I bought another one - the smell is just beautiful. A little bit hard to describe but just so lovely!But what made this purchase even more special was the samples that came with it. Libertine are just so generous with their perfume samples and it was like Christmas Day opening up the box! I also received some of the wax melts to try and I am soooooo in love with them! They give off the most amazing scent just like the candles but maybe...even better or stronger! I am going to be buying some more of the wax melts as a way of trying the different smells out for the candles!

Worth every penny

I have become nearly obsessed with Cire Trudon candles, and this one, Josephine, is one of my favorites. It smells like a heavenly garden. They are also beautiful objects, and everything is of the highest quality. They burn evenly and last a long time, but you can enjoy the fragrance without even lighting it. You only need to set it out, uncovered, to experience the seductive aroma.

favourite scent

always my favourite Trudon candle. very rich floura scent. smells like the garden after summer rain from childhood. The heaviness of the jar and the exterior design reflect the good quality of the candle and the brand.

smells like expensive french perfume

very scented candle with incredible throw. It absolutely fragrances the whole house when it's burning. This one is a very floral scent which threw me off at first, but it smell very lux and expensive and nicer as its burning than the scent that comes off just in the jar. My only disappointment is that for the price it burns very fast. Have to only let it burn an hour or two here and there in order to make it last.
