Trumpeter 03702 1/200 German Bismarck Battleship

i did not receive this model from megahobby how ever the review stands this ship is very long it has very good lines the parts match up perfectly the plastic quality is top notch the pe is alittle fragiile you will need a pe bending tool i highly recemend getting either the white ensign or edward upgrade kits they will look fantastic on this ship the railing that is included dose not line up with any part of the ship you will have to guess where to cut and the lines wont look good

Bought this for when I retire in September (70). On first look,very impressive. Not done a ship this big before,will be a challenge but an entertaining one. Just have to persuade the wife to give me room to display it!! Biggest challenge haha. Recommended

MegaHobby is great! Never an issue in all the time I have been ordering from them. This model is huge, and Trumpeter's attentional to detail is evident from the smallest pieces to the individual boxes inside that hold all those parts. Getting ready to start the build today. It looks like a real challenge, but an enjoyable one. I have already built the 1/200 version of The Hood (also from MegaHobby), so that building experience will help me with even greater results here.The one thing I am disappointed in, however, is Trumpeter's design of the hull. At the bow, a rectangular section, maybe 1.5" X .75 or so, is left open and needs to be filled with the proper parts provided. Filling with putty and sanding is not one of my better skills, and I can never seem to get the perfectly smooth fill needed to make it look seamless. But I guess this will help me perfect my skills, although I'm not really keen on being forced to do this on such a pricey kit. But, other than that, everything looks like a good time ahead.
