This is my first soldering iron and it may just be my last. It heats up very quickly and is comfortable to hold for precise work. Navigating the controls took a little bit of getting used to but the OLED settings menu is polished and great to have. As another reviewer mentioned you will likely have to buy a TS-D25 chisel tip for the TS80/TS80P to get the most out of it; I had a hard time finding one and it ended up being another $30.

I got this as a backup for fx888d, but it turned out to be the better one. Heats up quickly and can work around large ground planes with ease. My only little claim is that they don't have a 1.6mm chisel tip to choose.

It's a handy "jobbing" soldering iron that is useful to have in your toolkit but it doesn't replace a higher powered iron for bigger tasks - have reasonable expectations of a 30w iron and it's great!
Really impressed with this soldering iron, heated up quickly, easy to use and nice to hold which makes soldering super easy! Love it!

Easily the best soldering iron I've owned. Small, portable, and excellent build quality. The way the tip detaches is so easy and remarkably satisfying to use! The IronOS firmware is definitely worth installing - it adds so much useful functionality to an already excellent device. Highly recommended!
Great soldering Iron. Heats up really fast! Make sure you get a USB PD supply capable of 12V. This has now replaced my main soldering iron because it is just so much more convenient!
