Tubes themselves are of high quality and really lightweight. I put 4 stars due to "slippery" plastic valves - normal pump heads (ones that fasten on valve just with friction) are prone to slip during pumping. To prevent this I need to really push pump head on valve while risking breaking it or separating it from the tube.So I would recommend using pumps with lock-on heads.

Shaves hundreds of grams per wheel, very durable and seems to help with rolling resistance vs a traditional tube. A great alternative to tubeless and the spares pack down quite small can’t recommend these enough.

Read reviews online and most were very positive. Therefore I pulled the trigger and got two of them. I have a bikepacking rig, and do go to fast or ride in crazy terrain. The temperature around here is about 70-80 degrees, and After two rides, 36 miles total the seam came apart and the air escaped. To make matters worse, regular rubber repair kits don’t work, because this is almost plastic like. The glue came off. The company sells their own proprietary kit, but the hole on the tube was at the company/assembly level. It’s just bad quality. The tube is light, and seems strong but unfortunately it’s just not reliable like I was hoping. Hopefully they figure out a way to make the tire one single tube so this is not an issue. Otherwise it’s just gonna keep happening to ... MoreRead reviews online and most were very positive. Therefore I pulled the trigger and got two of them. It’s a rare day indeed that I bother to write a product review. However, I have come to like this product so much over the past 18 months that I will. These are exactly the sort of tubes that I’ve been looking for (for the past 20 years).I find that they hold air far longer than rubber tubes.I find that they hold air far longer than tubeless tires with sealant. They weigh about the same as tire sealant (3.6 ounces). They weigh about half what a rubber tube weighs.I ride twice a week (aggressive singletrack descending) and I have had no flats (for the 18 months that I have been using these tubes).Of course, there is none of the hassle or mess associated with using tire sealant. When I purchased a new mountain bike a couple years ago, it came with tubeless ... Aggressive riding was causing frequent tire burps (burping sealant all over the trail everywhere I rode).I’m not cool with that. I know - you’re just trying to squeeze in a little fun on your mountain bike – me too. However, sealant is at least somewhat toxic. Sealant is a mess. The liquid and gaseous constituents of sealant are for more mobile in the biosphere than is the solid material of an inner tube. I’m going through less innertube mass than I would be going through sealant mass. Sealant is easily avoided. I’m not getting any pinch flats. I’m not getting any flats.Of course, most modern tubeless compatible tires are extremely tight on the rims. This makes changing them require proper tools and skill. I am able to change them in a trailside scenario. However, I carry a small bottle of soapy water with my flat repair kit to lubricate the bead for installation. I step laterally on the tire to peel the bead toward the center of the rim, before using the tire levers. I use Pedro’s tire levers. The only critique that I have of these tubes is that they are a slippery tight fit to get onto the rim. Perhaps they would be easier to install if they were slightly longer.Oh – and I would much prefer that they had a conventional presta stem with nut.Unfortunately, they won’t protect you from thorns. However, adding a RhinoDillos strip will.Four thorny rides, I like Slime Self-Sealing Tubes. However, they are heavier.Ride on!
Super light tube and strong. I do some drops and hops it performs just perfectly fine!Bikeinn also did a good job with rapid shipment. Thanks a lot !
I saw these and thought they were a great idea and had to try them. Realistically, a tube is something for an emergency in my mountain biking setup. With that being said, I can give my bike EDC pack a break by carrying two of these with less weight and mass than a single traditional tube. Sadly, I had to get two tubes for my mullet setup. It’s pricy, but it’s peace of mind. I have not had to use them yet other than just carry them on all my rides.
I already tried these tubes (3 months) they are very good, they strike out much less than the S (super tubes) because they are a little thicker, therefore a little heavier without reaching the weight of common cameras. These I recommend more than the S series. They have only been struck out by nailed thorns. To patch them, you should take a little more care with your hands well clean and the area to be patched clean with isopropyl alcohol included in the special kit for tubolith.
The weight and dimensions are very small, on my scale the 29+ version weighs 102g against the 285 of the standard air chamber and takes up about half the space, an important feature if used as a spare chamber. I hope it will prove more puncture resistant than a normal inner tube, as the manufacturer claims. High cost, even if I must admit that Bikeinn offers it at a very competitive price.
Bought to take in a repair kit, so not tested. Advantage in weight and in the little space that this chamber takes up in the repair kit. Question on the solidity of the valve and during an emergency handling at the side of the road. But we must admit that it is 2 to 3 times less heavy than a normal room. Received with damaged packaging, could be better protected ... Price a bit high.
Decided to give Bontrager a go on my Trek mountain bike. I have to say I am delighted with my choice. It is well thought out and constructed and is exactly the right dimensions and fit.Mounted to the seat rails it is ideal if you run a dropper post as it leave adequate clearance and with no straps to rub the post will not cause damage. All in all a quality product at a great price that works perfectly.
