Upon me introducing those beds, he immediately began to tear them to shreds. I was at my wits end, at some points emotional because this silly boy would just destroy his beds and then would have nowhere to sleep on!I was getting a lot of ads Rover Pet Products and the Tuffmat bed and thought I'd give it a crack. I slowly introduced the bed to him and whilst he for sure had tried to chew and destroy it, he found it too difficult and frankly, not particularly fun to destroy. I have bought many, many mattresses, beds and blankets for my 2 girls who are mastiff x over their very short 2 years of life. I purchased one Tuff Mat to test it out. I had my doubts it would survive Simmy & Shelby and their solid determination to shred every bed they own. I am delighted to say that it has. I came home from work the other afternoon to a sea of torn up foam from a single bed mattress that was once their bed. The Tuff Mat had been dragged out into the yard but upon close inspection I could only find teeth punctures from bites, no tears at all. Still in one solid piece!I am impressed. The Tuff Mat is worth every cent. I will be purchasing a second mat very soon.

We got this for our Kelpie. She is a digger and nester and has over a two month period put holes in the material with her nesting behaviour. I have turned the mattress around so the corner she nests in is dispersed and turned upside down.No longer waterproof and won't be long before she works a good hole and will need a new one. It's also super cold here and I would like a tough mutt mat with a fleece on top to keep her warmer. She has a blanket which she lays on. Very expensive for a few months worth of a bed. She is 10 months old so a lot of beds to go through

I don't expect the bed to be indestructible but the ease in which it came apart was laughable.
I was admiring our Tuff Matt yesterday and needed to pop past to write review. We’ve had our TuffMat for FOUR years now and it is still in the same functional condition as the first day we bought it. We have a 55kg Dane/Mastiff who uses it intermittently throughout every day and there isn’t a sag too be seen, it’s perfect to protect her weary joints… We’ve left the TuffMat out in the rain and shine and every piece of stitching is still intact, there’s no mould or smell attached to it. I oder 2,I was straggle for my frenchi because all there bed is just like 2-3 days lifespan.If kmart can give me award for most dog bed in the year maybe im the one get for this place.Anywys, i try first to but the TuffMat! Orthopaedic, my 2 frenchi can’t destroy there bed, scratching or biting. I saw them how to try destroy agin this bed but unfortunately the TUFFMAT WIN that’s why i buy onther one for outdoor. We love our tuff mat!Our previous boy (now at the Rainbow Bridge) was a chewer. His mission in life was to destroy anything soft of left unsupervised. But at 38kg I wanted him to have somewhere supportive to sleep outside to protect his joints.The tuff mat was Cooper proof and he quickly decided it wasn’t worth his effort.We have a 13 month old Labrador now and he was given a tuff mat when we brought him home at 8 weeks old. He throws his tuff mat around like a toy, eats his treats and chicken frames on it (eiew) then curls up on it to sleep.It hoses off beautifully and it has no holes rips or tears. We rate the tuff mat so highly!

I thought I did my due diligence before purchasing as my dogs are scratchers. The website had a special mention for dogs that chew but nothing for dogs that scratch so with it being scratch resistant I bit the bullet and ordered a custom made TuffMat! in May 2022. It finally arrived in June 2022.After having it for around 6 months I noticed it was extremely heavy after hosing it down. While there are no visible scratches on the material itself, I can only assume that the waterproof backing must have ripped. It took about 3 days in the sun to dry out.
