I’ve had one of these and wouldn’t recommend to buy. It gets VERY heavy when filled and it is almost impossible to tumble it with just one person . Can’t shove a wheelbarrow underneath to collect the compost because there isn’t enough clearance so you have to dump it on the ground. It gets messy.

Bought this yesterday and assembled it this morning. Only took about 20 minutes and no problems at all. Seems to be quite solid.Don’t expect to be able to fill it completely as it will weigh too much to turn but still holds a lot.Definitely an improvement on compost bins that sit on the ground as they can attract rats and mice.

Will I purchase same model to replace one 9 years old which just broke around lid. Did I have too much inside? It has been successful and I don’t remember it was difficult to assemble.Will probably go with same.
I’ve had one of these and wouldn’t recommend to buy. It gets VERY heavy when filled and it is almost impossible to tumble it with just one person . Can’t shove a wheelbarrow underneath to collect the compost because there isn’t enough clearance so you have to dump it on the ground. It gets messy.

These are not vermin proof and it’s dishonest to say so. I had one in the blue mats and the rats chewed through the vents. When I raised the concern with the makers so they could address it, they sidestepped the issue. So be warned. Google and you will find other stories.
Have had for a year. Not that great. Slow to compost, and longer items such as twigs get tangled in it. I ended up buying a conventional compost bin due to the problems with this one.I also don't know how you're supposed to empty it once full. It becomes too heavy and there isn't enough clearance underneath to fit your wheelbarrow. I end up having to dump it all on the lawn and then shovel into my wheel barrow which makes a terrible mess.
I assembled it last weekend and it took ages as the nuts would not thread all the way onto the middle bar. Only have two buckets of vegetable scraps in compostbin and heavy to turn. I do not think I will be able to fill it up and turn the bin which is disappointing . I did a lot of research about tumbler compost bins before purchasing and thought this was the best one at a reasonable price and for a small backyard. Time will tell if it was a good choice.
Absolutely love it. Easy to assemble and works well might even purchase a second one as I am that pleased with the product.
I wanted something to take my kitchen scraps and the detritus from garden weeding. The Tumbleweed tumbler is reasonably easy to put together though you will need a Philips screwdriver and something to hold the fastening nuts still while you tighten them. The instructions were relatively simple though it does help to have two people to move the thing once you've finished assembling it. It seems to be doing a grand job so far.
Easy to set up and use. This is my second one. Only down side is that you can't really fill it to 220L, or even 200L, because it is then too heavy to tumble. Likely to only fill to 150L to allow one-man tumbling.
