I have 3 dogs and cat’s I used this system for all of their droppings I had approximately 5000 worms and it was excellent. No smell and composted quite quickly. Also used the accelerator and other bits and pieces. Highly recommended for people with animals especially large dogs.

I have a larger dog and the tumbleweed doesn’t do anything. Followed the instructions exactly and ended up with a heaving mess of dog faeces vegetable scrapes and maggots. Rang and was told I must have set it up wrong and just got sent the same set of instructions. Not worth the cost or effort.

I have just bought this product and setup was very easy. Solid unit and seams great quality. Does need 2000 worms to work and this is NOT included. Feel like the packaging could make this clear.

Have had the pet loo for about six months & think it is great. I just top it up with a small amount of grass clippings to mix with the dog poo. No smells & the worms compost everything quickly.
I bought this last year and have used for waste from our two dogs and cats - along with kitchen scraps and small garden green waste. The result has been beautiful, organic soil great for our flowering shrubs and non-food plants. By using the stirrer to mix up the waste, adding moisture when needed and covering with a bit of sack we have found an eco friendly way to deal with our pet waste - and no smell!
Before you assemble the product, check the lid arm and MAKE SURE it is straight! If it’s not, don’t go any further and ring the manufacturer (it’s not Bunnings fault). If this arm isn’t straight, then the lid won’t shut (see other reviews) and you will be frustrated and angry. Fortunately we were able to resolve this issue with the manufacturer and the lady who took our call was incredibly helpful. Once that problem was resolved it was easy, if a touch expensive ($300 for all the wherewithal), to set up. I feel quite virtuous now about my part in pet poo disposal and also not filling our bin up with kitchen scraps. I recommend it, but check that lid arm first!!!!
I've been using this for our prolific dog poop for years now. It was slow at first but over generations of worms eating only dog poo, they're now prolific eaters of it. Everytime I open it to add more the worms are spilling over. Every couple of months I shovel it out and it makes wonderful compost for the garden. Ours is next to a lemon tree and the worm 'juice' seeps into the soil and the lemon tree thrives. I would highly recommend using this for a clean, dog-poo free, non-smelly way to dispose of dog poo and create beautiful compost.
Assembled 3 times and wasted hours trying to get the parts to line up. They wouldn't, so the lid does not shut properly, which is the entire point of the product. The instructions are long and references other Tumbleweed products that I did not even know I needed.Waste of money.
This is cheaper than some other worm farms I looked at, and its construction is sturdy and the foot pedal is great. It was easy to put together by myself. It's recommended to buy 2000 worms, but I bought just 500 and it seems to be sufficient so far; I figure I can buy more later if I need to. There is a faint smell sometimes, so the farm is best located away from outdoor living areas.
Worm farm works great but the bolt to hold the lid on was not supplied. Had to source on my own.I transferred a bunch of my own worms and compost to the unit then mixed everything through. I filled it up two weeks ago to the brim and it's down to half full.My plants love me and my wife loves not having any dog poo in the yard.
