Love the case overall. The only thing keeping it from being a 5 is the color. I ordered the red, expecting the bright red I saw on-line and in the store. The actual color is a dark red - still pretty, and I’ll keep it, but not the color I expected. Generally love Tumi products. They are well made and pack well.

Took my luggage on first trip over Thanksgiving weekend. I expanded it and added a couple of extra days clothing beyond 3 days. Worked out perfectly. It was a leisurely stroll through the airport and outside. My only regret was not realizing I needed a power pack for charging electronic devices prior to the trip. That note should have stood out in the description of the luggage. I've ordered one and will be prepared for my next trip.Terrific savings on the luggage price.

I love my new TUMI suitcase. I travel every week and it is the perfect size for my over-packing habit when I go on long weekend trips! Easily fits waaay too many clothes for a weekend or even a week, but is still the perfect size to keep you right around the 50# weight limit that exists on most domestic flights in the USA.Also, the bearings in the wheels are FAR superior to anything I've ever tried before, the suitcase glides like a hot knife through butter, and not butter from the fridge, a hot knife through room-temperature butter. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with is how easily the finish seems to be scuffed. The very first trip it sustained several scuffs and scratches, and every trip since it has pretty much gotten another. That does nothing to ... MoreI love my new TUMI suitcase. Tumi used to be well built with quality fabrics, sturdy zippers and ergonomic features. The biggest downside to this new luggage, is the lack of a panel at the bottom of the luggage so that I could grasp both sides when I am lifting the suitcase into cars or overhead storage. In my opinion, this is a key feature and I notice it every time I travel, which is at least once a week. Additionally, the zipper on this last Tumi gets stuck and is not as good as the last Tumi I had, which lasted me over ten-years. Given the competition from brands like Rimawa, Tumi needs to really keep its quality high. Please bring back the bottom lifting panel!
I recently went on a 12 day multiple plane/airport and hotels as well as the 7 day cruise. I purchased the Biaggi bags thinking they were so light weight it would give me an advantage in packing more and still handling the bags. WRONG! I ended up after the cruise buying two Lilac Tumi's at the San Juan Puerto Rico mall which a gulped at the price but LOVE THESE! I think I had a stupid grin plastered on my face when I had to go home via 4 airports/flights. My only reservation is in the longevity. The telescoping handles have some excess play between the rod and the suitcase making them feel less sturdy. But I am still in love with these and smile when I think about them.
Just received this piece in the deep plum. I haven’t used it but I already love it. The expansion is at least 2 inches and it does come with the built in charging port but I need to purchase the battery. I also ordered the smaller carry on in the deep plum, as well as, the just in case tote. Between the three, I have unlimited options for travel and I don’t see needing or using any other luggage, even for international trips. Tumi is my go to and always will be.
Absolutely love it! Was worried about dirt on it,cleans beautifully.Colour is gorgeous .I wish Tumi came out with a bag with an outside pocket for phone in a similar colour. My sixth bag from Tumi ,and I would tell anyone to treat yourself to quality and purchase this one.
This red bag looks glossy and bright red in every photo online. However, it’s unmistakably BURGUNDY. If you like dark red you’ll love this bag. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed. There are zero instructions, such as how to use the usb port.
It's Tumi so the quality is there. Great color so easily recognizable. It is a bit small. Literally not enough space for one night of clothing and toiletries. Therefore o have ordered the larger one as well. This way I will be sure to travel in style.
I was quite surprised how much I could put in this suitcase and organize. I replaced a traditional 22” expandable to this 20” expand. Much to my surprise, because of the design with two sides, I was able to pack all loose items on one side and clothes on the other. I travel frequently so this carry on is important. The size, shape, particularly the weight and maneuverability are Excellent! 👍
