Tumi - Voyageur Celina Backpack - Black/Gold

Almost perfecr

Great backpack! My main complaint is that the phone pocket at the top is sliggghtly too small for many modern cell phones, especially with a case, and the side pocket for small items (the opposite side from water bottle) is single zip, and if you are in a hurry and don't close completely, things fall out when the backpack tips backwards (which it does if you have a heavy laptop). They got rid of the magnetic side pocket, which would have been nice to have, I'm always worried about putting valuables in the other zip pockets in case I get pickpocketed, but maybe I'm just paranoid. Also, I am a 5'1" person- I wish the straps were just a little shorter (even the store person agreed). I do have to say that they slip regularly, which is a little annoying.

Back pain

Luxurious and stands up on its own, which is great. Some zippers could really use two zipper pulls in order to hook together to prevent theft. The bad part is that the strap doesn’t shorten very much. It has caused a lot of back strain. I am fairly certain it was this backpack, as I did not do anything else strenuous on my trips. Sadly it is used and cannot be returned, but I don’t want to give it away and cause my friend/family back pain.

Cute but too small

Ehhh. I purchased online and the back pack was way smaller than I anticipated. My PC barely fit in it, and my PC doesn’t have a ten key! I saw the dimensions posted along with the photos but misjudged what the back pack measurements would like in reality. Unfortunately, I had to return the back pack as it was too small to meet my needs. I purchased a similar but larger version of this backpack at the tumi store.

Great for international travel

This is the perfect travel backpack - with one exception- it does not have an outside water bottle pocket - however that does not bother me because I take such a large water bottle that it never fits in those pockets anyway. The outside pockets are zippered which I used to hold power cords and other smaller items. I travel internationally for work and this backpack was light - kept my laptop secure and had plenty of room for several other items.

I’m in love

My backpack finally arrived and I wore it for the first time today! I carried 2 MacBook pros, a mini umbrella, my lunch, a whole bunch of everyday essentials and my back did not brake!!! I love all the compartments for organization, although I still wish for more pockets in the main compartment and a more secure spot for a water bottle (I’m afraid it’ll fall out with just the zippers) but I appreciate Tumi trying to keep an elegant esthetic by avoiding an elastic. I’m 5’2” and the bag did not wear me, plus I was able to adjust the straps to my liking. I thought I would never replace my Tumi tote but this a much better and healthier choice for my shoulders! Love this bag!

I just got this backpack and I love it for work! As a petite woman, it's hard to find backpacks that fit my body well (everything usually looks big). This backpack is compact and looks great for my body type. It also has great pockets and the materials seems very durable. It looks like (hopefully) it will look great over many years!

Near perfect

I love this bag! The size is great for my 5'2" frame. There are plenty of pockets to keep all my stuff organized. The padded adjustable backpack straps are looped so there isn't extra material dangling. The bag stands upright even when it's empty. The main compartment is roomy and easily accessible from the front zipper. The outside phone pocket isn't large and can only fit up to an iPhone 14 Pro - barely. There are rings to attach a Tumi organizer. Unfortunately, Tumi doesn't make one that matches this bag exactly. I love this shade of red and am disappointed they don't have more accessories in this color. I love how all my stuff fits into this bag and is everything can be well organized. This bag is really comfortable to carry around.

Nice, but can be better

It is a nice bag for travel especially if one looks for trolley that goes on the carry on handle. The quality, however, isn't as good as I'd come to expect. The stitches along the zippers are all single so they don't look as polished as the one I bought years ago. I needed a one that can go on my carry on bag handle, so I accept the fact that no backpacks will ever come to match the workmanship of my own Tumi (without trolley) and move on.

don’t buy if you are petite

The backpack is well constructed and just what I was looking for. However, the straps cannot be adjusted close to short enough for me. It’s clearly designed for a man’s body or taller women. For reference, I’m 5’2” and 115 pounds.
