Smooth, simple, understated (dare I say professional) industrial design, VERY comfortable mesh cushions, and a simple boom mic that wont bend or break easily, and tucks away when I just want to use them as nice wireless headphones. The comfort level is on-par with other over-ear headsets, but these seem to pinch my head a little less than competing models. Then there's the battery life - I cant kill these things! I usuall charge them at night, but forgot not once, but for THREE STRAIGHT DAYS and they still worked perfectly for all of my game and music uses across two forgotten charging nights. These really have incredible battery life!Charging is USB Type C, which is table stakes at this point, but the "dongle" it comes with is still USB-A, which is fine for SOME PCs, but I'd appreciate them at least offering an adapter or a SKU that gives you a Type-C dongle instead for mobile use - My "gaming PC" is a Dell XPS with nary a USB-A port in sight, so I've been getting by on Bluetooth and using a USB adapter to try the native wireless connection. Also, considering how smart the rest of this thing is with stowage and storage, having a place for that little USB A adapter to go inside the headset when not used (for Switch or mobile) would have been amazing. All in all this will be my reccomendation for a GREAT headset at a GOOD price for anyone looking!

I have had the fortune to try different types of gaming headsets, some very good, others not so good, different brands and among them Turtle Beach, which I must admit that over time have improved their product line. I have tried other generations of the Stealth series and this time it has met my expectations, although it is not a perfect product, it does well.In the box you get the headphones, a USB wireless transmitter, a charging cable USB-A to USB-C and a quick start guide. There are two ways to connect the headphones to the different compatible devices. First, you can connect via bluetooth through your phone's bluetooth settings, you can also install an app to access different settings of the headphones, although without installing the app the headphones work without any problem. The other way is with the usb wireless transmitter, this can be connected to consoles and pc. It is important to read the quick start guide as it contains instructions on how to connect the headphones to these different types of devices. The headphones have a set of buttons on the bottom of the left earphone. Power button, bluetooth, “mode button” (used to change the eq preset) and one more to change the connection type. This last one seems great to me because just by pressing a button you can switch from bluetooth to wireless and vice versa, when I finish playing on pc and proceed to do another activity, I just press the button to change the connection and then the headphones connect to my phone (previously paired in bluetooth settings), I find it very convenient. It also has two wheels one is for the master audio volume and one for game/chat mix.The design looks good, although I think they are a little big for my taste. However, one thing that is undeniable is comfort, so the design serves this purpose and I am happy with it. The pads are soft and do not irritate the skin, in my case I have not had any problem in this regard. The adjustable headband is comfortable as well. That the microphone is retractable is already a Turtle Beach signature, I like it.In performance this device is on par with other mid-range gaming headsets, which makes it, in my opinion, a balanced product in its cost/benefit ratio. The sound is very good, although it could be better. The size of the drivers allows you to feel a deeper sound quality. Despite not being headphones with active noise cancellation, it does isolate the outside sound to a good extent. The equalizer presets are fine, although for me only two of them convinced me more, as there are times when the increase of certain frequencies in a couple of presets makes the mids and sometimes the highs are distorted a little, nothing serious but I prefer the Signature Sound preset. In different games the sound delivered by the headphones is quite good, I can play without any inconvenience and get the same results as with my wired headphones. The microphone is loud and clear, it can also be configured from the Swarm II app and this gives it a plus. One thing that makes these gaming headsets stand out to me the most is the battery. I have been using the headphones for days and the battery continues to hold enough charge to keep using them for gaming and playing content on my other devices. This is one of their strongest points and what makes me conclude that, without a doubt, these are headphones that are worth the price and if they had at some point a discount, even better. If you are looking for a good pair of gaming headphones that you can use with your console, pc, phone, tablet, at a reasonable price, I can definitely recommend these Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headphones.

The headset itself is considerably light compared to my other headset, but it doesn't feel cheap like you'd find elsewhere within the same class. The headset is a made of a lighter weight plastic that has a nice smooth finish to it with no jagged curves. The mic feels a little flimsy but shouldn't be too much of an issue, I only recommend putting the boom up when you take it off to avoid breaking it. On the left ear muff you'll find your controls. A power button, a Bluetooth/wireless toggle button, mode button, and two wheels.I feel like the buttons/wheels could have been reduced. The Bluetooth and Quick Switch button could have been the same button, where a single tap on the quick switch would switch between bands, while holding it down would put it in pairing mode. I also do not see the point behind the second wheel on the headset. I understand wanting more controls, but I don't understand wanting them where my hand isn't going to be most of the time. I could be wrong, but I don't see the situation where having a duplicate mouse wheel on my headset is helpful. The only reason I bring this up is because while using the headset, it can get confusing what button you are pressing, leading to issues. For example, my son was playing on my laptop and came to me confused as to why he had no sound. It took a few minutes to figure it out, but when turning it on, he had switched the mode to bluetooth and there is no visible indication which mode it is in. And while I was using it, I would often go to turn the volume up or down, find the wrong wheel and end up simply turning up the gain on my mic. I think it would have been better to have secondar controls on the other ear muff if they need to be included at all. Minor gripe, and something that you'd get use to over time with them, but it did detract from the initial experience.Comfort is the next big thing with these, they are very comfortable for their price and they've made improvements vs previous generations. The telescoping feature of the ear muffs is now enclosed. The slide is inside the headband, not partially exposed so it feels more premium and no risk of your hair getting snagged up in the open design. The headband itself is very comfortable as well being memory foam and a more premium (not quite top of the line, but good) material. I actually prefer this headband to my previous A250s even though the A250 are much more expensive. The ear muffs are attached with pivots as well, allowing the headset to conform to the shape of your head very well. I never felt like it was bending or applying pressure on my head awkwardly. The headset scaled perfectly fine down from my larger adult size head to my small eight year old sons. The only drawback I had with the comfort side of these is the inside of the ear muffs felt a little small when it came to depth. My ears were pressed against the fabric on the inside of the headphones, and being a closed design it got pretty warm. So after long play sessions there would be a little discomfort on my ears. Just a minor thing, but something I noticed. If you have particularly wide ears this might be worse for you.Sound quality on these I find to be passable. Its not going to include the things like Dolby Atmos or simulated 5.1 or 7.1 surround, these are in the budget category, so I wouldn't go in expecting the best, but they aren't terrible either. I could sit back and listen to music in them fine, I wasn't blown away by the quality, but I wasn't turning off the music because it was bad either. There is a feature built into the software for the headset to amplify sound frequencies you'd find in games for things like footsteps or reloading. I didn't get the chance to use that feature as I was having driver conflict issues, but it seems a little gimmicky to me. I did get to toggle it on briefly and it changed the sound profile quite a bit, so while it might amplify those sounds, its also going to distort the other sounds at the same time.Battery life on these is great. I fully charged these as soon as I got them and after 5 days of use (a few hours a day) I haven't had to charge them yet. I haven't been actively recording the hours I am putting into these, but I do feel like they last longer than my other headset by a significant amount. A plus with this headset is that they use a USB-C connector. I know this now mandated on new devices, but should be pointed out as lots of devices on the market are still using micro or mini usb.And finally, one thing that I wish this headset could do is purely wireless mode. I don't like using Bluetooth on my laptop (as sometimes it has bad audio latency) and the dongle is rather large for this. It would be nice if the included cable would also work for connectivity. That way I can just plug in the cable, let it charge and use it, instead of having to occupy 2 USB slots on my laptop. A minor inconvenience that I hope gets remedied in future designs.

All the features and compatibility are easily read in the product description so im not going to waste time on that. Diving right in to it this headset is not built for comfort, at all. The rigid hard chassis gives little room for give meaning the break in period is going to take a long time and during that whole time expect to have much discomfort in the form of headaches. Now for the smaller domed people such as my 15 year old daughter this head set fits her perfect and she raves about how comfortable it feels. The drop down mic is a nice simplistic feature that the next gen stealth 600 still carries which i am a big fan of. Obliviously simply pull the mic down to chat and back up to mute. But i what i really like about this very simple feature is how clean it looks when it is tucked away in mute mode. It molds perfectly to the shape of the earcups and is no longer a eye sore. Speaking of the mic, chat quality is surprisingly very very good. Having someone else use both the stealth 600 vs my turtle beach pro i honestly could not tell much of a difference in voice quality. Voice quality was clean and clear and never once sounded distorted or brought in static. Audio quality from the actual games was a different story however. There was a very noticeable difference in bass and clarity. If your games are set up for Spatial sound you can forget it with these headsets as there will be very little to no difference in the change of sound. Bass struggles to hit when hearing sounds like mortar fire going off from games like COD and the mids seem to become almost muffled as the drivers try so hard to push the bass that it slightly distorts your other back ground noises. Bluetooth was dropping out as well from time to time but i cant knock the headset too much as this is an easy fix by simply plugging in the power cable directly to your gaming device.Over all this is a budget friendly headset that is great for some but not for all. What you really need to ask yourself is what is it your primarily looking for? If all you care about is a reliable chat set that wont let you down, then i say pull the trigger and buy it and you will not be disappointed. If your looking to become immersed in your enviorment during long gaming hours, then its a hard pass. The audio quality is average at best and the rigid chassis will bother your head after about an hour of gaming. If your buying for a child or teenager then this the perfect set for you.

Gen 3 does it again

Right off the rip I have to say these new stealth 600 series gen 3 maintain the old tried and true fitment of years past so if you enjoy any turtle beach headset this one will also fit great but if you have even a remotely larger head (think like L/XL flex fit needed) it will have a higher clamping force and I recommend you check these out at your local Best Buy display to ensure fitment. That said im part of the clamp crew though they do stretch with time. The stealth 600 series from turtle beach is by far the most recognizable name in gaming headsets. This new gen 3 style for 2024 really steps the bar up by adding bluetooth functionality to the already stellar 2.4ghz wifi connection. This particular model can connect easily to PC, playstation, switch, and mobile via low latency wireless or bluetooth depending. The new AI based mic noise reduction and echo canceling is actually a lot better than last years model I also have which is nice my friends noticed the difference right away. This has the newer 50mm nanoclear drivers which sound full and up front so you can hear foot steps well with the right EQ settings.Speaking of EQ settings you can customize the 3d audio settings, EQ, mic settings and everything else right in the Swarm II desktop or mobile app.Beyond fitment the athletic weave fabric ear cups are a hate it or love it type of deal and personal preference. The real choice on that is these allow your ears to breath well over a long period of time but they dont keep sound in that well if your trying to be discrete. The mic flips up to mute which is a turtle beach classic and much appreciated. Another appreciated thing is the ability to lay these flat on your desk and the ear cups swivel to allow. There is switches on the ear cups for mode, a new quick switch button to swap between 2.4ghz wireless and bluetooth modes which only takes a couple seconds to connect.Overall you cant ask for much more value for the money here on a wireless pair these days. I wouldnt hesitate to pick up a pair (unless you have a large head then try them on first lol).

Low cost, high performance/quality

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a very strong contender in the realm of sub $100 wireless gaming headsets. It offers very impressive features at a reasonable price point. Here are a few of the basics that I look for in a gaming headset and what this offers:Design & Comfort: The headset features a sleek, non-gaming design with ear cups that rotate to 90 degrees so you can wear around your neck. The fabric padding on the ear cups and leatherette headband padding is adequate, but not great, but I found that for extended gaming sessions, I had no issues with the fatigue or comfort at all. Although some users with larger heads may find the fit a bit snug, I also did not have any issues wearing them and they are also glasses friendly. The overall build quality ... MoreThe Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a very strong contender in the realm of sub $100 wireless gaming headsets. Although some users with larger heads may find the fit a bit snug, I also did not have any issues wearing them and they are also glasses friendly. The overall build quality feels sturdy, especially considering that these are mostly plastic, but they do feel premium. The buttons are located on the left ear, and they do take some time to get used to where they are and what they do. You have Power, Mode, BT, Switching, and two great feeling volume type dials.Sound Quality: For gaming audio, the Stealth 600 Gen 3 delivers a satisfying experience. The 50mm drivers provide clear and detailed sound, which is crucial for pinpointing footsteps and other directional cues in games. The Superhuman Hearing mode enhances subtle sounds, giving gamers a competitive edge in multiplayer environments to hear footsteps better. While the bass isn't overpowering, it's good enough for most gaming scenarios. You can take more control over everything when you install the Swarm II software. I used the PC version and did the firmware update first, then I was able to customize the EQ settings, Noise Gate, monitor settings, create different sound profiles (that link to the Mode button and are downloaded directly to the headset for portability), Microphone gain, power features, and a ton of other settings. Note, there is also a Swarm II app for your phone, that you can use as well, but I didn’t test it out that much, but you have that option it seems.Mic Quality: The flip microphone is a standout feature that is one of my favorite Turtle Beach headphone features. The microphone offers clear voice capture without significant background noise, and you can adjust it to your liking using the Noise Gate setting in the Swarm II software. You can easily flip this microphone up to mute it and pull it back down to unmute it, also it tilts towards your mouth to help pick up your voice even better.Wireless Connectivity: Another great selling point is its wireless connectivity via a USB dongle, which provides a reliable connection with minimal latency and connection is very fast using a 2.4GHZ connection. It’s compatible with PC, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile phones (via BT) and thus making this very attractive to those with multiple devices that you can make use of this headset. The headset also boasts a decent wireless range, I tested about 50 or so feet away and that was downstairs out in the garage thus allowing freedom of movement within a small house without losing connection or having clipping noises.Battery Life: Battery life is fantastic so far. They are rated for 80 hours of battery life, and I have been using them for about 20 or so hours and the battery reading on my phone via BT reports 60% left. My initial charge only took about an hour or so, but I can’t speak to how long it takes to charge back up from zero just yet.Software & Customization: The Turtle Beach Swarm II app allows for firmware updates and some customization of audio settings. While it may not be as extensive as some of the other more expensive headset software apps out there, it does a great job of letting me customize the features that I am most concerned about.Overall Impression: The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a near perfect option for budget-conscious gamers looking for a wireless headset with good sound quality, plethora of features, comfort, and low-key styling. It excels in providing clear in-game audio and reliable voice chat, which is essential for both those competitive gaming sessions. While it may lack the premium materials and features of higher-end models, its performance more than makes up for that. If you’re on a budget or just don’t want to spend and arm and a leg, this headset is worth considering.

Massive battery life, multi-platform compatibility
3 June 2024

I’ve only had this Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Gaming Headset for about a week, but it was enough to put it through its paces. Compared to my premium gaming headset from another popular vendor it fairs pretty well, though it falls a bit short on fullness of the soundstage including the microphone. The build quality is solid, a mix of metals and plastics and generous padding with memory foam ear cushions wrapped in soft athletic weave fabric. At only 0.7 lbs they do not feel too heavy but depending on your head size, the headband may clamp a bit tight, therefore not necessarily super comfortable for prolonged periods of time. I do wear a large size helmet for my real-life car racing hobbies, so I start feeling the squeeze from these headphones after 1-2 hours ... MoreI’ve only had this Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Gaming Headset for about a week, but it was enough to put it through its paces. I do wear a large size helmet for my real-life car racing hobbies, so I start feeling the squeeze from these headphones after 1-2 hours of gaming.Setup is simple with either the included low latency 2.4 GHz wireless dongle or built-in bluetooth, just make sure to switch the headphones to the correct pairing mode. Connecting to a Windows PC and Xbox One was a breeze and tweaking EQ, microphone and many other settings and customizations is pretty straight forward with the Swarm II app.I really appreciate the flip-up mic to mute function and also get it out of the way when you’re just listening to the in-game sound or music and not chatting in multi-player games. One of the greatest features of these headphones is the true multi-platform compatibility with all major game consoles and ease of switching between different devices with the QuickSwitch button found along with all other buttons and two scroll wheels on the left earcup. The sound quality is about average with all the fine tuning and clear volume comes out of the 50mm drivers that cover a wide frequency range, though these are still more of a budget headphone that does not compare with others costing twice or three times as much. The advertised battery life is nothing but impressive at 80-hours.Last but not least, the 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle connection works seamlessly and with no noticeable delay, providing a better, faster, more stable connection than bluetooth with a generous range. All in all, if you are an avid gamer on pretty much any platform and are looking for an affordable gaming headset, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 is good quality and value for your money.

Nice headphones for the price with some tradeoffs.

To begin, there is a lot to like with these headphones.First and foremost, they work well. Even at the loudest volume there is no distortion and, while I would not say they were overly loud, it is hard to imagine a use case where the maximum volume is not enough for me (or most users, for that matter). The microphone "clicks" into place and has an auto-mute function when it is folded up into the headset, which is really nice compared to others where the mic stays live unless you take steps to manually turn it off. The microphone picks up well and my voice is clear when using it.The headset can be used via bluetooth or wireless using the USB dongle included in the box. The microphone picks up well and my voice is clear when using it.The headset can be used via bluetooth or wireless using the USB dongle included in the box. There is a USB-A to USB-C cable included in the box for charging as well. There are two volume knobs on the unit that have the right amount of tactile feel and "clicking" when adjusting the volume. The first is the master volume and the second is a "game/chat mix" or "variable mic-monitoring" adjustment, depending on whether you are using the headphones with an Xbox, Playstation, or a PC. There is a button that allows you to quickly switch between bluetooth and wireless modes (although, if wireless is working well, there really is no need for bluetooth). Another button toggles the different EQ settings between "signature sound," bass boost, base and treble booster and vocal boost. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the minimalist documentation that accompanies the headphones to let you know what these modes are... I had to go online to figure that one out. The unit also has something Turtle Beach calls "superhuman hearing" mode that amplifies critical in-game sounds that are supposed to give you an edge when gaming (such as hearing enemy footsteps, an approaching tank, etc.). When enabled, however, the EQ settings are disabled. Apparently, Turtle Beach has data on this feature that indicates it can make a 20% to 40% difference in gaming metrics. The games I play, however, are not such at I would really benefit from this feature, so I do not have much feedback on it. Beyond volume controls and special feature, the headphones themselves, just by virtue of their construction, do a decent job of blocking out external noise. While there is a lot to love with these headphones, this takes me to its perceived shortcomings.First of all, the dongle and the headphones must be updated, which was not a very intuitive process. While the instructions provide a QR code for an Android or iPhone, I had no desire to connect these headphones to my phone. So, I connected it to my PC instead... and nothing worked out of the box. I had to install Turtle Beach's application. The caveat, however, is that when I initially went on their website to find the application, it had me download the wrong application. I only found this out after must frustration and re-reading the lean instructions and the fine print stating I needed the Swarm II desktop software. Once I had the right software installed, however, the upgrade process was relatively straightforward. I ultimately tested this headset out with a PS5 and it worked well, but that was after updating through my PC. I have no idea how I would have done that from my PS5.My next complaint is the material used for the ear pads. Rather than a nice, supple leather, the headphones use a cloth material that I would describe as somewhat scratchy. At the time I am writing this review, I have had the headphones off my head for a good 30 minutes and my ears still feel warm and somewhat itchy. I suppose this ultimately comes down to personal preference and I am sure the material would not bother some users. The headset is comfortable otherwise. They have decent "heft," but are not too heavy on the head. So, setup and ear pad material aside, there is probably a lot to like with these headphones given the price. Personally, though, I would probably spend a little extra to have a leather ear pad that is more comfortable.

Sneaky good headsets from Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach takes us back to a time when wireless gaming headsets sounded great, felt great, worked as expected and most importantly, were affordably priced. Nowadays, it seems impossible to find a decent set of wireless gaming headsets for less than a hundred but the Stealth 600 (v3) hits that mark and punches well above its weight at this price point.First let me cover what I feel is the most impressive features of this modestly priced gaming headset. The sound is LOUD. It’s maybe not the most accurate sounding headset, but it handles gaming sounds perfectly with tons of bass, highlighted vocals, and soaring treble notes. The sound is LOUD. It’s maybe not the most accurate sounding headset, but it handles gaming sounds perfectly with tons of bass, highlighted vocals, and soaring treble notes. The sound stage is also “airy” and does not sound muffled at all.The other feature that really stood out to me was the Bluetooth connectivity and fast-switching between inputs. While this is not advertised as a Bluetooth “Multi-Point” headset, the feature actually works! Meaning you can connect multiple Bluetooth devices AT THE SAME TIME. The only minor thing to note is the switching between sources is not super intelligent and if both sources are playing, only one will play and the sounds are not muxed together. In order to pair a second device, you must disconnect the first device (not forget) and then put the Stealth into pairing mode by changing input to BT and hold the BT button to put it into pairing mode. The LED light is excellent at visualizing which input and what mode the headset is in, and you get the audio notification as well. So change to BT which turns the LED blue, then hold the BT button and it flashes quickly in blue. Then go to your 2nd device and search for devices to pair with and the Stealth 600 should show up. After pairing a 2nd device, you can then connect the first device simultaneously. Play from one source, stop it. Wait a few seconds, play from second source and audio will stream from second source. Brilliant. I was able to connect to my PC and my iPhone 15 Pro Max simultaneously.Great functionality for those who work from home or want to connect and use on a work laptop, and these headsets while geared towards gamers look good enough to use for work without blinding those on your Teams call. These headsets also have a RF USB dongle that works perfectly with PC, and if you get a call and the headset is paired to your phone via BT, you can use the fast input switching to switch to BT, take the call, then hang up and input goes back to RF.The buttons on the left side work well but they are kinda hard to differentiate when you can’t see them, but over time I should get used to them. The BT key also doubles as a media pause/start/hangup button and there is the quick swap button as mentioned. There’s a volume roller that works well and another roller that can be programmed. The wheels have different treads that give you touch cues to tell them apart. Microphone folds up and down and isn’t super flimsily or adjustable which I like. Sound is decent but not something you will want to do voiceovers with.Overall I really just love the usability of this headset, it’s just fast and responsive and does everything you would expect from a much more expensive BT headset, but it also has the added functionality of RF to any device that has a USB-A port. It powers on fast, detects inputs fast, switches between devices fast. And it sounds great! Build quality is also excellent for such a reasonably priced headset. Nothing cheap or flimsily, memory foam, lay flat ear cups, closed circumaural ear cups but breathable athletic fabric so you don’t feel like you’re in a tunnel and sweating.Great headphones from a great brand!

Stellar audio quality

I have been testing this headset for a week now whilst playing through Monster Hunter World for the first time (VERY fun game btw!) and it left me with a very positive impression.Firstly, I expected good things as I have owned previous Turtle Beach headsets in the past and they have held up very well with daily use, the Stealth 600 headset is no different. The headset itself has a nice and sleek look without any garish RGB elements, this feels like a headset for an adult with a really clean and sleek desk space that might lean more towards a wooden or black desk setup without a lot of the typical "gamer" lighting and a more refined style such as a home office/gaming area. The microphone can be pushed up and out of the way completely if you don't intend to use ... MoreI have been testing this headset for a week now whilst playing through Monster Hunter World for the first time (VERY fun game btw!) and it left me with a very positive impression.Firstly, I expected good things as I have owned previous Turtle Beach headsets in the past and they have held up very well with daily use, the Stealth 600 headset is no different. The headset itself has a nice and sleek look without any garish RGB elements, this feels like a headset for an adult with a really clean and sleek desk space that might lean more towards a wooden or black desk setup without a lot of the typical "gamer" lighting and a more refined style such as a home office/gaming area. The microphone can be pushed up and out of the way completely if you don't intend to use comms much and just want the game audio or even for listening to music.I downloaded the accompanying app because a big thing for me is having good mic monitoring so I don't stumble over my words and I'm happy to say that with the app I turned mic monitoring up to max and it was decent enough that I could wear my headset and speak without getting confused. The app also allows you to tweak various other settings too which I did to enhance my audio experience. The audio quality is great, definitely no complaints on my end, and as previously mentioned things can be tweaked to your exact liking in the app. Having a wireless headset also takes away the frustration of getting tangled in cables or if I have to get up to do something I can just keep it on. I partied up with my husband and he felt that the microphone was good too and I came across clearly, not as clear as a dynamic or condenser microphone, the one I use is a Hyper X quad cast but for a built in headset mic it held its own and was definitely good enough! One last thing I'll add is that the headset was so comfortable! And as a girl I sometimes struggle to find headsets that fit but this is so adjustable I was able to headbang (for testing purposes haha) and the headset remained secure on my head, it didn't slip at all.Overall a 4.5/5 for me, not my favorite design but for the right person it looks sleek and refined and most importantly the audio quality is fantastic. I will absolutely continue to use this for Xbox gaming and it was a real treat to receive this product and get to enjoy it, thanks!
